Creep
Danica was busy organizing her belongings when she heard a series of loud knocks on her front door. Curious and somewhat apprehensive, she cautiously approached the peephole to identify the visitor. As she caught sight of Brian’s figure through the viewer, a shock of fear coursed through her, causing her to clutch her chest, as if his presence had the power to pierce her very soul.
‘What is he doing here?’
Luckily, she had altered the passcode to her security system, preventing him from entering at will.
“Danica! I know you’re in there!” the man shouted, punctuating his words with a powerful thud on the door.
‘Oh no!’
“You, slut! You’re in a relationship with someone else, huh?”
Danica remained silent, allowing Brian to believe that she wasn’t in the room. She didn’t want to make any noise, but her hand shook as she picked up her phone to request assistance. Danica called building security to inform them not to grant Brian access to the building.
“Danica!” shouted the man at the other door.
How could she escape when Brian was waiting for her outside?
“Hello!” someone responded to her call.
“I’m the tenant in room 1701. Please, remove my guest from the premises! He’s causing a disturbance- Ahhhh!”
The lock on the door was forcefully tampered with, causing her to scream. Fortunately, there were safety chains in place, preventing the door from fully opening.
“I knew it! You’re in there!” Brian exclaimed angrily.
“I’m going to contact security to go to your floor,” the person he was speaking to responded, conveying their concern.
“Please…” Danica couldn’t help but fear for her life.
“Danica, please talk to me!” Brian shouted once more.
“Go away, Brian! You’re seriously scaring me!” she responded.
“Damn it! You can’t get away from me!” he retorted.
Danica had no choice but to retreat to her bedroom to hide further and lock the door again.
“Hello?” She heard from her phone. She didn’t realize she had dialed Kael’s number found in the call history.
Danica told Kael that Brian is right outside her door. As to how he got her new combinations, she didn’t know.
“My girlfriend is upstairs. Her ex is causing trouble, which is why she asked me to come here!” Danica heard Kael’s voice, as he hadn’t disconnected the call. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
“I’m sorry, sir, but we can’t just let you in.”
“That’s ridiculous! You even allowed her stalker to come in! Here’s my ID, and here’s my license! I’ll file a complaint against this building if anything happens to my girlfriend!” Kael declared, frustration evident in his voice.
Based on the conversation, Kael was granted access and directed to the floor where Danica’s unit was located.
Shortly after that, she heard a commotion outside her door. She removed the security chain and recognized Kael’s voice.
Danica witnessed Kael delivering a punch to Brian’s cheek, causing her ex to tumble to the floor. Both men were swiftly separated by the five security personnel who had arrived to intervene.
“Danica, is this how you’re going to repay me after I treated you like a princess?” Brian’s angry shout was muffled as two security guards held him back, yet the pain in his voice was palpable.
She couldn’t imagine how he might evade the security measures while Carmela’s case was still ongoing.
“You creep! You have no right to complain! Danica should be treated like a princess!” Kael seethed, itching to strike Brian again, who was evidently drunk. Danica was aware that her ex-boyfriend’s modeling career had been derailed due to his ongoing legal issues.
Danica sobbed, clinging to Kael’s chest, trembling with grief. She was tormented by what had occurred between her and Brian, and couldn’t help but wonder if it was truly her fault that he had ended up like this.
In the end, the building’s security detained Brian and filed charges to prevent him from coming near Danica again. She asked Kael to keep the incident hidden from Lily or her father, not wanting to contribute to their already challenging situation.

Kenneth and his friends are all together in a safe house where the lawyer has allowed them to stay. They are forbidden to leave that place, especially since Carmela’s case is still ongoing. They have only petitioned for bail, which is the reason they are not inside the prison.
Yet, Kenneth couldn’t help but feel a growing frustration. Despite being confident in their ability to win the case, impatience gnawed at him. As he, Keith, and Jericho sat together, engrossed in watching TV, their defense attorney finally made an appearance.
“We have a problem,” the lawyer announced.
“What is it?” Keith inquired.
“Lily Martin, Drew Walton’s wife, will be a witness next week, which means this case is going to attract more attention. I’ll need to strategize and navigate the court proceedings carefully. In the meantime, I’ll start by reviewing Lily’s statements.”
Kenneth contemplated, She has a lot to share, doesn’t she?
His jaw remained firmly set at the thought of Lily taking the stand and facing questions from both sides. After a while, a twisted smile played on his lips, as if he were descending into madness. It would be the ideal moment for him to gauge Lily’s resilience, and, above all, witness the anguish it would inflict upon her husband, Drew.
Jericho, sensing his unease, nervously inquired, “What are your thoughts on this, Ken?”
Ken nonchalantly shrugged, replying, “Nothing.”
His response irked his friend. “Nothing? You’re heading to jail, and all you have to say is ‘nothing’?”
Ken retorted, “Who said I did anything to Lily without her consent? It was you who claimed she loved me,” he said, directing a serious gaze at the lawyer, silently implying that the lawyer might have understood his hidden meaning.
“Wait! Where is Brian?”
The three of them exchanged glances.
Kenneth explained, “That fucker was drunk and should be in his room.”
Keith sneered, saying, “He did nothing but get drunk and mumble about Lily and his girlfriend.”
The lawyer’s phone rang, prompting him to answer it. “Hello… What?!” He then looked at them. “Could someone please check if Brian is in his room?”
“I’ll handle it,” Jericho volunteered.
“Thank you!” the lawyer expressed his gratitude once more before refocusing on the phone. “That guy!”
Jericho quickly returned with the news. “Brian’s not in the room!”
“Alright! I’m heading there,” the lawyer replied before ending the call.
“Brian’s in jail-again! Not only did he stalk his girlfriend, but he also entered her apartment building without permission,” he said with frustration, rubbing his temples.
“That guy is absolutely insane!”
None of the three responded.
“I’ll check on Brian, but for the love of sanity,” he said with a hint of exasperation, “can you all please stay put in here? Thank you!”
With clear annoyance, the lawyer stormed out, visibly upset by the situation.
“I can’t accept this!” Keith exclaimed, shaking his head in anger, his thoughts consumed by Carmela. “I’ll make that b*tch pay when this case is over!”
Kenneth, concerned, offered a caution, “Keith, I understand your frustration with our predicament, but let’s be careful with our words, especially when we’re not in private.”
Keith vented his anxieties with an exasperated, “Augh! I’m not even sure if there’ll be a job waiting for me once this case is over.”
Both of them were doctors, though they worked in different fields. However, Kenneth was no longer cared about his work. He knew he had a job waiting for him in the Martin business office in case the hospital he worked at no longer accepted him. He turned to Jericho and asked, “How about you, Jericho?”
Jericho sighed, his uncertainty evident. “I’m not sure anymore. My family has rejected me, and I don’t even know where to go once this case is over. Jenny admitted she loved her lover, Oscar Yu, and our annulment is also in progress.”
He lit a cigarette and squinted his eyes. All he wanted was Lily, and nothing else.
