Without thinking, I took a step closer to Noah.

Noah nodded and followed my lead, inching forward, too.

Around us, music started playing. People were laughing. I heard Juniper’s voice as she snarked at Julian when he returned with the wine. I heard Julian say something mildly flirty back, the tone of which I was sure went straight over Juniper’s head.

For once in my life, I didn’t care.

“And…where’s home again?” he asked, his voice lower now. Soothing and…seductive?

“About two hours outside of Boston,” I said breathily.

His lips had a soft curve to them.

“My sister lives in Boston.”

“Maybe you should come visit her sometime.”

He lifted a brow, and his grin grew.
