Being Proposed to By a Blind CEO

Ask for Help

“Mr. Kevin?” Belvina was surprised because the one who came to ruin her morning was Mr. Kevin, maybe if it was someone else she would have cursed the person, but not this time.

How could she dare? Belvina could have been sanctioned and imprisoned even if she only cursed. Mr. Kevin is a respected person in Jakarta and he is also a very respected person who also has a lot of money exceeding billionaires. Obviously Belvina would not dare to swear at the middle-aged man who was still standing in front of her.

After struggling with her reverie, Belvina finally invited Mr. Kevin to enter her apartment. Asked him to sit down and offered him a drink. Just like a cafe waiter serving his customers.

“Please sit down, sir. Let’s have a nice chat later, how about a soda? Tea? Or coffee?” Belvina offered.

“The rainy season is more suitable for hot tea,” Mr. Kevin replied, smiling at Belvina.

“Ah, okay. I’ll call my friend first, sir.” Mr. Kevin nodded in response. Belvina started walking towards Anggi’s room, opened the door to the unlocked room and woke up her best friend.

“Gi, wake up, Anggi. Mr. Kevin is visiting our apartment,” Belvina tried to wake Anggi up by gently shaking her body.

“Eugh, just tell him to leave, will you?” Anggi replied lazily with his eyes still closed. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

“You’re crazy! Yes, you can’t, who knows there are important things he wants to talk about, related to the purpose of him calling me last night? After all, he’s already in the living room now,” Hearing that made Anggi immediately widen her eyes and try to wake up from her beautiful dreamland.

“What!”

“Aish, he’s just disturbing my sleep,”

“Hurry up, Gi. You talk to Mr. Kevin, I’ll make some hot tea first,”

“Ah, okay, Vin.” Belvina then went to the kitchen, made tea for Mr. Kevin, while Anggi made her bed, washed her face briefly and walked to the living room to see a middle-aged man who was still typing something on his cellphone.

“Mr. Kevin?” Anggi pretended to be surprised by the presence of a middle-aged man sitting in the living room of his apartment.

“Ah, yes, Anggi. We meet again,” Anggi sat on the sofa across from Mr. Kevin. Meanwhile, Mr. Kevin had extended his hand to shake hands with Anggi. Anggi accepted the handshake and both of them immediately let go.

“How are you, Gi? After resigning from the Shinning Doll company, I thought you guys were really going back to your hometowns.”

“We’re not going back home, sir. Our families asked us to stay here and find another job after Belvina recovered,” Anggi replied. Not long after that, the tea that Belvina had brought came and was placed on the table in front of Mr. Kevin and Anggi.

“Wow, the tea is here, it’s perfect while talking,” Mr. Kevin smiled at Belvina who was now sitting on the sofa to Anggi’s right. Both of them also smiled at Mr. Kevin.

“Please drink first, sir,” Belvina asked and Mr. Kevin immediately took the cup of tea and sipped it little by little, after finishing, he put the cup of tea back on the table.

“So, my purpose here is to ask you to persuade Gifer Fernandez to enter my company again to become CEO. You guys are close with Gifer, right? At that time, I accidentally saw you guys with Gifer at the central library and I also saw you guys again at the train station,” Belvina and Anggi looked at each other.

If there was another answer other than ‘Yes’, maybe both of them would have used it instead of saying ‘Yes’. The words seemed to hit them both like checkmate if in a chess match which meant that there was nowhere to go but dead and nothing else.

“Yes, but the problem is, does Gifer himself want to come back after what happened last time?” Belvina asked.

“You already know the problem Gifer is having in GF Corp?” Instead of getting an answer, Belvina got another question from Mr. Kevin which was the same as checkmate again.

“Ah, that’s not it, I don’t know everything about Gifer, but I mean the one about his blindness, isn’t that why he was fired from the company?” Belvina tried to cover up everything so that Mr. Kevin wouldn’t suspect that the girl in front of him actually knew everything.

“Yes, it’s true, because Gifer was blind, he was fired from the company, but it wasn’t me who fired Gifer. It was Raya, my daughter. She doesn’t like blind people who are still working, so she just fired him without knowing what the consequences would be. After Gifer’s absence, the company was destroyed, there was no more marketing, clients no longer trusted our company because Raya didn’t want to meet clients every time there was an important meeting. Very different from Gifer who was tenacious and competent in business and office matters. Therefore, I really beg you two, if you know Gifer better, please persuade him to become CEO again in my company,” explained Mr. Kevin while pleading in front of Belvina and Anggi.

“Alright, I will try to persuade him, but if he doesn’t want to, I can’t force him, sir. Because Gifer himself has human rights that he can refuse or accept this offer from you,” Belvina tried to speak politely so that it wouldn’t seem like she was refusing or accepting Mr. Kevin’s request for help.

“What Vina said is true, sir. If Gifer refuses, it’s out of our control. Yes, we just hope Gifer doesn’t reject it so that your company can be saved and get back on its feet,” Anggi explained in more detail so as not to hurt Mr. Kevin’s feelings.

“Yes, I hope so too, hopefully Gifer will accept it, the important thing is that you have tried to persuade him, it makes me happy that you want to help me,” said Mr. Kevin.

“We will also arrange a time to meet with Gifer, because our work time is also very busy, sir. So it will be difficult to set a time to meet with Gifer. I will try to make time. If I’ve persuaded him, I’ll let you know via chat or even phone. Oh yes, that means the number that called me last night was Mr. Kevin’s number, right? I’m sorry, sir. It turns out that your number is not stored in my cellphone, I thought it was a bad person’s number, that’s why I didn’t dare to pick up,” Belvina explained with a smile etched on her face even though it was just a fake smile.

“Ah yes, Vina. No problem at all. Thank you, you guys for helping to persuade Gifer. Yes, that was my cell phone number last night, don’t forget to keep it, Vina,” Mr. Kevin drank his tea until it ran out.

“Yes, sir,”

“Alright, I’ll go home first, my purpose here has been conveyed. Thank you, excuse me,” Mr. Kevin stood up, Belvina and Anggi also stood up and bowed their heads slightly to their elders.

“Alright, stay tuned for good news, Vina, Anggi,”

“Yes, sir.”

Mr. Kevin came out of Belvina and Anggi’s apartment right across from the two young men who were visiting Belvina and Anggi’s apartment. One of the young men looked at Mr. Kevin with a displeased look.
