Chapter 21: Were You Not Paying Attention?
Chapter 21: Were You Not Paying Attention?
Fleur got off work early because of Master Olivier.
She went home with Olivier in his car. Halfway back, she bought another bouquet of flowers and gave it
to Olivier.
"This is for you."
Olivier did not even look at it. He grabbed the flowers and threw it into the trash can nearby.
"......" Fleur shook her head and sighed.
Neither of them spoke when they got back, retreating to each other's bedrooms. After Olivier finished
his shower, Fleur showed up again just like last night, in black pajamas and clutching a pillow.
She carried the same charm and sensuality, the only difference tonight and last night was that she did
not even knock or ask to join Olivier tonight.
Tonight Fleur fell right into his bed and dove beneath the covers. She turned to look at Olivier with
bright eyes.
The ends of Olivier's hair were still dripping with water. He wiped his face with a towel, eyes as cold as
if they had trapped frost.
"Get out." His two uttered words were terribly calm.
Fleur turned to her side and continued looking at him.
"No. I want to sleep here tonight."
Olivier threw his towel away and strode forward to bear down against her with his strong arms. His
manly scent surrounded Fleur. "I've said already. No sexual relations. Were you paying attention at
all?"
"I didn't say that. I just want to sleep."
"..."
Fleur reached out to tug Olivier's robe sash loose. Her eyes ran across his muscles, landing on
a...scar?
Before she could examine further, Olivier snatched the sash from her hand. It did not hurt. Sure, there
was a fierceness to it, beneath it was a curious amorosity.
Olivier stood up. "You really want to sleep here?"
"Mhm."
The man turned around and immediately left the room.
Fleur smiled at his retreating back. Olivier did not seem to mind being physically closer to her at all.
......
Olivier worked on some work documents in his study for two hours. It was already midnight when he
finished. He habitually reached for his phone in his pocket but remembered it was in his bedroom.
And in his bedroom...
He pinched the space between his eyebrows, face tight. Getting up and about ready to leave, he heard
a faint meow. There was a cat somewhere.
His villa had never had animals like this.
The meow came from the guest room. Olivier strode over and entered the guest room. Two dark green Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.
eyes, clear as agate, met his.
He switched on the lights.
The cat just stood there staring at him. There was a fragrance in the air that had not been here before.
It was new, just like Fleur.
In addition to the fragrance, there was also the stink of cat feces. The cat had defecated.
Olivier frowned and instinctively turned to leave. Suddenly, he saw a photograph hanging from the side
of the bed.
He went over and picked it up.
It was Samuel Muller.
Olivier's fingers turned white with clenching. He remembered what Simon had said: "A woman was
involved in my brother's death."
......
Strangely enough, even though Fleur was just sleeping in his bed and did not usually stay in his room,
her fragrance still permeated the air.
In the dark, Olivier slowly walked to the bedside. The moonlight outside lit Fleur's skin white as snow,
rosy as cherry blossoms.
The blood red rose tattoo on her resting arm shone bright in the night, a seductive quality to it.
Olivier stroked it gently.
He remembered that after Samuel's death, the police had found a rose in his pocket.
