Chapter 41
Ira’s pov
As I watch her leave in such a hurry, I wonder: is it very hot? Why did her face look so red?
I quickly took out my cell phone and reported, “Miss Trista went there alone.”
“Leave her alone.”
I was a little confused after I hung up the phone.
Trista’s point of view
When I walked into the jewelry design department, I saw a luxurious office. It was spacious and bright, and the European-style office atmosphere was very good.
There were eight colleagues, and each of them seemed to be independent and far away from the work area.
I nodded politely to my colleague inside. Regardless of whether anyone saw me or not, I followed the sign to the deputy director’s office and knocked on the door. “Hello, Ms. Sylvia. I new here, Trista..”
I waited for a while, but there was no sound. I looked around in confusion. Everyone was very busy, and no one was telling me what had happened. I gathered my courage and knocked again. “Mrs. Sylvia, are you in there?”
There was still no sound.
I waited patiently for a while and sensed that she was not there. Just as I was about to turn around and leave, I heard a soft sound from inside.
Was Mrs. Sylvia inside?
I knocked on the door. “Mrs. Sylvia, I am coming in now.”
I gathered my courage and opened the door. As expected, Sylvia was reading documents at her desk.
I don’t understand why she didn’t say anything inside.
“I hate to waste time. You knocked on the door earlier and even let me deal with three documents.” Then she looked up at me.
“You are new here. I have heard you are very capable. Four people were chased away as soon as you arrived.”
Sylvia had curly hair and a pair of contemptuous and arrogant eyes. She looked pure and sublime.
Hearing this, I immediately stood up and replied in a tone that was neither humble nor pushy, “Mrs. Sylvia praised me. I was just doing my job.”
“Your desk is right there. You read the work rules in advance to know what you should really be doing.” She said meaningfully, gave me a disdainful look, and continued with her work.
As soon as I sat down, my colleague, who was sitting not far from me, immediately quieted down and indicated, “Hey, newbie, you are the fifth person to sit there this month.”
“The fifth?” I looked at my seat in confusion. Was something wrong?
The colleague grinned.
“I heard Kirk quit because of you? Great!” After a while, the colleague gave me a thumbs up.
Just as I was about to say something, I heard Sylvia’s voice. “Brenda, what are you talking about during working hours? Go and dump the trash out of the office!”
Brenda muttered in a low voice, “but it’s the cleaner’s job to clean up the trash….”
“How dare you disagree?” said Sylvia in a harsh voice.
Brenda was startled and hurriedly stood up. “I am going, I am going….”
I feel a little guilty. Brenda got angry because of me. She looked at me and secretly said, “It’s okay. It’s easy to throw out the garbage. I’ll be back soon.” She said with a smile.
“Brenda, that’s enough!” Sylvia yelled again.
“Right now! I’ll pour it down!” Brenda trotted off.
Looking at her back, I suddenly sensed that the next few days were not going to be easy.NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
“Are you the new arrival?” Suddenly a calm and beautiful voice rang out.
I immediately stood up, and a mature and charming woman stood in front of me. She was in her twenties, with well-groomed skin that fluffed and broke. She exuded superior confidence and was very attractive.
I glanced at her work card hanging from her chest and quickly said, “Good morning, Mrs. Emma!”
“You are very sophisticated.” She praised me and continued, “You have lived abroad for a long time, so your Frenchshould be good. This is a report on jewelry design. You can translate it into French and send it to the jewelry design department in England. I will give you the address later.”
After saying that, she put down a stack of thick file folders and walked toward the office on her high heels. I noticed that she passed Sylvia’s office and glanced disdainfully.
Soon Sylvia stormed out and called to me, “Trista, come in!”
I don’t know what happened. I hurriedly put down my work and knocked on her door. “Ms. Sylvia, what can I do for you?”
“The flowers in my office are about to wilt. Pour some water on them! These wilted leaves are affecting my mood at work!” Then she lowered her head again without looking at me.
Considering that it was her first day on the job, the probationary period was not even three days over. I took a deep breath and maintained a decent smile. “Okay.”
“Trista, what are you doing? Don’t you know that flower is only supposed to be watered once a week?”
“Trista, take this document and copy it!”
“Trista, what’s wrong with you? Why did you copy it like that?”
….
After being criticized by her for a long time, I finally know why four people left my post within a month. I suspect Sylvia drove them crazy.
“Go get me a cup of coffee,” Sylvia ordered, rubbing her eyes.
“Mrs. Sylvia, I have work to do.” I look at the woman who has been giving me a hard time for a long time.
“That’s your job.” Sylvia was speechless. “It is part of your job to follow the orders and commands of your boss.”
After all, I had to get along for a long time in the future. I didn’t want to ruin their relationship.
With a cup of coffee in her hand, Sylvia took a sip and yelled, “What’s wrong? It’s so hot! Change it again!”
I have no choice but to change my temper. Soon after, I bring another glass. “Mrs. Sylvia, this glass is the right temperature.”
Sylvia took a sip and spit it out. “Don’t you know that the temperature of the coffee is cold? Change it again!”
I bring another glass of wine
“What kind of coffee is this? Why does it taste so bad?” Sylvia threw it into the trash can in disgust. “I want the imported one. Why did you make the domestic one for me?”
“You did not say you wanted an imported wine. Besides, the three cups earlier were all made in China. You did not say anything.”
“How dare you disagree?” She immediately became angry. “Change them!”
When I bring the fourth glass
As soon as she took a sip, she angrily threw the whole cup on the floor. “Have not you ever had coffee before? Do not you know that you have to add sugar? Why can not you make such a simple thing four times? Tell me, who on earth helped you get this job?”
“Mrs. Sylvia, no sugar in the first three glasses.” “That’s not what you said. I thought you liked bitter coffee. After all, not everyone drinks coffee with sugar.”
“You have only been here a short time. What can you do but disagree?” She tapped the table heavily.
“Why are you so angry in the early morning?” Suddenly a voice rang out. An elegant figure stood at the door with his hands clasped. “Have you translated my documents?”
