CAST OUT

Chapter 70

Her life at stake

Kenzo was pacing in the living room, the tension was acute, each glance he stares at his phone, waiting for a call, a text, anything, he wanted to know where she was if she was safe if she was okay.

He slumped on the ground, with both hands clasped on his head.

“Master..”

Sambas called.

“They can’t find her yet. They can’t find her!”

“They will find her master. They’ll.” Sambas assured him. He couldn’t explain how he was feeling at the moment, the fact that Elina was out there somewhere, held up in the hands of those mafia, cold, all by herself and their baby was still fragile.

She was perhaps getting tortured.

Elina…

“The door was forced, the window wasn’t broken, there was no blood or anything in disorder, everything was intact..” Sambas explained.

“The person who took her was someone she knew, someone she trust. A friend.” Aziel replied.

“I talked to her on phone not quite long. She told me she was having these feelings. Unpleasant one and I told her she gonna be fine, and make sure she doesn’t open the door for anyone.”

“You’re right, it’s someone we know, someone we thought would never hurt her. And there has been just one person who comes to mind. Because Elina isn’t the one to have many friends. If it isn’t Barbra..”

“It’s Ray.” They unison.

“The possibility of it being Ray it’s high since he works with Hazard.”

“Hazard..” Kenzo whispered.

“It’s him. It’s Ray. They did this to get to me. But if they hurt her I’m gonna kill them. I swear.”

“I’m with you Master.”

“But, how are we gonna know where they are. They are probably hiding somewhere.”

“They will call,” Kenzo said.

“He wants me, He will call me to come to meet them. We should wait for the call.”

Aziel slumped on the other side.

“He wanted to win so badly and this is the only way.”

“This is the only way he could get to the master Kenzo,” Ezra said for the first time since they began talking.

“He’s giving you what you fear the most, that’s losing the election. And he’s taking what you value the most and that’s Elina. Ding dong! Giving you the same mafia treatment.” He concluded.

“That’s it,” Aziel replied. Snapping his fingers.

“We need to find her..” he said worriedly.

“But We can’t find her unless he calls. That bastard Hazard! He’ll pay for this. He..”

The ringing phone stopped everything’s in discussions and everyone’s attention went to the phone.

Sambas races shortly towards the telephone and got it. Kenzo and Aziel stood up, standing beside Sambas.

“Hello, king Kenzo. You’ve been expecting my calls, haven’t you? Did I take too long to respond? Well, I’ve been busy. Keeping her safe.”

“Where the hell is she?”

“She’s safe, oh she wants to save something, but you can’t hear her, but you might probably hear the waters.” He chuckled.

“Waters?” His voice cracked.

“Did you?” Aziel asked now.

“Hello Aziel, I kinda forgot she was your sister, you wanna say hi, you both kinda have a miserable life. Seems it runs in the blood. But it’s all good. You’ll get to see her soon, all cold and white.”

“Bastard!” Aziel gritted his teeth.

“Don’t you dare, touch her.”

“And what if I..”

“I’ll kill you..” Kenzo said in a low whisper.

“Tell me where the fuck you at?”

“Oh, how about a guessing game. Haha..”

He wished he could punch him through the phone. Punch him so hard that he wished his front tooth pulls off.

The asshole!

“What do you want?”

“That’s what I’ve been longing to hear.”

“Just say it!”

“Give it all up, surrender, make me win and you’re gonna get your girl.”

“And you know, you ain’t gonna win, while I’m still breathing. It won’t work.”

“That’s why you need to die. Die and she lives. Live and she dies. Fair enough.”

“To hell with you!” Sambas grunts.

He wasn’t a man anymore but a fucking monster! He wasn’t worth staying alive. He was garbage.

Kenzo fell silent.

“You can tell where she was..” The next thing they heard was her voice, screaming for help. And the sounds of waters as She flaps them.

“Help me please..”

His heart bleeds when he heard her voice. He held the phone tightly like its life was hanging on it.

“Hang in there. El. I’ll come to get you. I promise.”

“Help…”

“Elina. We’ll come to get you. I promise. I’ll come. Just a few more minutes. We’ll be right there. Elina. I know you’re listening. I’m sorry.”

He heard the sound of the water flapping, her gasping voice. She was trying to say something. And he heard something hit the ground and then the sound of locks.

“Elina baby prays she doesn’t die before you arrive here. That’s was touching, I felt it, I was wishing I was in her shoe and you’re coming to rescue me. How silly that sounds..” He laughed. And they were more voices laughing from the background.

Kenzo pulled the phone away from his ears.

“Tell me where you at!” His voice was threatening. Hazard felt it. He was damn fury.

“I’m getting goosebumps.”

“Shut up and tell me!”

“You should know, Kenzo, it won’t be a heard guess for you.”

Kenzo clutched his fist. Moving away from the telephone.

“You need a hit. I’ll give you one. Elina fears. Habanero”

His nails were digging into his palm. He already has a clue where she was, the place he was hiding her, was inside a well. The same place he had once taken him to. Why didn’t think about it, the sly bastard was messing around with him.

“Everyone get ready, we’re leaving.”

“Everyone? I’m not included am I?” The look on Kenzo’s face stopped him from saying anything further.

“We’re walking into a trap, a trap that’s gonna get you killed.”

“I don’t care, Let’s go!” He yelled.

“Get your guns, get everything, I’m gonna save her and I don’t care what happens next.”Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

“We should think, let’s plan.”

“I don’t have time to think when she’s dying. She deep down the well, covering her with water. It’s an hour’s ride from here. And you think I’ve got the time to sit and think. If anything happens to her or the baby, l won’t..” he paused. Taking a deep breath. He raced upstairs. Taking out everything he would need.

Ray ran back to the well, Sara was standing by it, with a wickedly grin on her face. Ray was alert, he heard the waters as it rush into the well. He hunkered down beside the well, opening the well. Sara pushed him off it.

“What do you think you’re doing?” She screamed in his face.

“Getting her out of there, you’ve already called Kenzo and he’s coming, now let her out.”

She chuckled.

“Seems you’re unaware. Sorry, it’s too late.” He yanked her hands off his arms. Glaring at her.

“This wasn’t the deal we made.”

“Deal could change.”

He stood up, facing her with hatred. She only chuckled.

“There’s no way you could open that door except I give the key, I’ve changed it from the ones you had.” With just a move his hands grabbed her neck, shook her vigorously. And he began strangling her, her legs left the earth. Her face automatically turns red. While she wrestled with his hands on her neck.

“Let go of her!” He heard the gun cocked at him. Snapping his head to the side, he saw Hazard men, surrounding him.

“This was it?” He snarled.

“You used me for yourselves.”

“You willingly wanted to be used.” She struggled to say.

Her hands tighten around her neck.

“Let her go or I’ll shoot.”

Groaning, he pulled his hands off her neck.

She dropped to the ground, gasping for breath.

“Kill the bastard!” She yelled.
