Chapter 41
Chapter 41
Although her vision was a bit hazy, Alyssa's consciousness was still somewhat clear. She could feel two men were supporting her on each side. The loud noises echoing from the bar had gotten softer and softer, and her surroundings became darker with each step.
There were strong. No matter how hard she struggled under their grip, they still wouldn't let go. It was obvious that she couldn't break free just by doing this anymore.
"Where are you taking me?" Her voice was hoarse and unsteady. She wanted to shout for help, but they were already nearing the exit. Even if she did scream, nobody would've heard her. Even if someone heard, they wouldn’t care.
Alyssa felt that she had been brought into a room and her entire body being thrown onto the bed.
Bending her arms, she tried to support herself to sit up, but she was limp. So she fell once again.
What the hell had they given her to make her so nauseous?
Just then she heard their conversations.
"You sent us an ugly woman? Are you trying to insult us?"
"Her looks may be hideous, but her figure isn't that bad." It was a woman's voice. There was a pause before she spoke again, this time even more viciously, "You can do whatever you want with her for all I care. Just don't kill her."
Alyssa clenched her hands tightly and pinched her palms forcefully. She tried to sober herself.
She felt painful and sober. For a split second, her vision cleared, she saw a man and woman standing by the bed and talking.
She couldn’t hear clearly. She wanted to get out of bed, but she fell off the bed.
Bang!
She fell on the ground!
The sound attracted the attention of them. The man walked over and threw her onto the bed. He was surprised. “She’s quite powerful for a woman. I've already given her so much medicine, and she's still moving."
"Give her some more."
"You can wake her up later."
They pinched her chin. She felt painful. They fed her the cold liquid.
‘Someone save me.’ She thought, before falling into a coma.
…
Emmett had just taken care of a few documents in his study. Seeing as he was finally finished, he sighed and headed downstairs to get himself a glass of water. It was a long day, and although he had
just recovered, he didn't really have much choice but to get back to work.
Alyssa's bedroom wasn't far away from his study.
When he came out, he glanced at her room and found that the door was open.
Was she still awake?
Although they weren't sharing a room, he had gotten used to the woman's night routine, fondly comparing her routine to that of an old lady. Since it was already close to midnight, he had assumed that she'd be asleep by now.
Emmett strode towards her room and pushed the door open. The lights were still on, and the bed looked untouched. Emmett strode towards her room and pushed the door open. The lights were still on, and the bed looked untouched.
He frowned and raised his wrist to look at his watch. It was almost eleven o’ clock. Where could she be?
Emmett glanced at the side to see that her laptop was still on her sofa. It wasn't switched off. Alyssa must've left in a hurry. Wanting to see what was going on, he sat on the sofa and grabbed her laptop.
It required a password for him to enter the system, but that wasn't difficult.
He turned on her computer easily and saw a video. His lips pursed as his fingers clicked on the video, curious as to what she was watching.
He played the video for two seconds and stopped it. Some rich men often gathered to have fun. They invited some young model or stars. They always did that. It was normal.
But why wasn't Alyssa in her room?
She made the bed. Her pajamas were on the sofa. It was obvious that she was about to take a shower and sleep. But what had happened that she suddenly changed her mind?
A thought occurred to him, and his face immediately darkened.
He replayed the video and watched it twice. Then he called Xavier. “You better pick up."
After a few rings, the phone was picked up. There was a lot of background noise from where he was now. “Why do you call me so late? Do you want to help me drink the alcohol? Should I send you my location?"
Although Nine Clouds was a large company and Xavier didn’t need to do business by meal, they still continually gave their partners some face by hosting monthly dinners or even galas to further encourage them to invest in the company.
That job usually fell on Xavier.
However, Emmett wasn't in the mood to banter with him. "Where did that unknown celebrity of yours go?"
He only knew the unknown star as Alyssa's close friend. As for her name, he couldn't really recall what
it was.
“She isn’t an unknown star.” Xavier said discontentedly, “Hazel will be a movie superstar!”
Emmett sneered. “The prerequisite for becoming a movie superstar is that she can work in the entertainment industry for a long time.”
Xavier instantly became nervous. “If you have something to say, then you come to me. Don’t bully her.”
“Shut up!” Emmett really wanted to throw Xavier to Africa. He didn’t want such a stupid partner.
“Go to the Sky Light Club.”
Without another word, he hung up the phone and headed out.
The Sky Light Club was well-known in the Hoover City, probably for its numerous scandals. It was founded by a group of materialist rich man. Drug abuse and rape scandals were quite rampant in this area.
It was founded by these rich men, so it was difficult to shut down it. It wasn’t a secret in the upper-class circles.
As soon as Xavier figured out where Hazel had gone, he immediately stood up, picked up his coat and walked out. His hands trembled as he called Hazel.
…
Xavier wasn’t far from the Sky Light Club. So when Emmett arrived, he had already arrived.
“What happened?" Xavier immediately approached him.
“Alyssa and that unknown star of yours are both in there." Emmett was solemn.
As soon as he heard it, Xavier turned around and ran inside the club.
Xavier was famous. So he was immediately recognized, when he entered.
“Hello, Mr. Xavier. Have you also come to test our newbies?"
Xavier grabbed the man’s collar and his voice was dangerous as he asked, “Where is the banquet hall?”
Emmett also owned a few clubs around the city, but they were much more high-end than the Sky Light Club. He narrowed his eyes and glanced around. He hadn’t been here before, so he didn’t know where the banquet hall was.
The person had wanted to say something to flatter him and direct him to a more private room. But Xavier was in a bad mood, he seemed like to avenge his father’s death. So the man didn't utter another word. Instead, he pointed in the direction of the banquet hall.
Xavier let go of the man. He was about to speak to Emmett, only to see that Emmett had long disappeared into the crowd.
He had already gone to the banquet hall.
If the entrance was sweaty and chaotic, the banquet hall was far more obscene and disgusting. The women didn't have any shame as they jumped onto every man who walked past, taking off their shirts to attract their attention. The men were even more shameless with the way they salivated after them, taking the initiative to pleasure themselves in such a public area.
Emmett was handsome. As soon as he entered the banquet hall, the women's eyes were immediately glued to his expensive suit and gold-plated watch. They were like a bunch of cats who had caught onto their next prey, looking eager to pounce.
"Handsome," One of the woman approached him and placed her hand on his shoulder. "You want to get a room?" Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
However, before she could even succeed in doing so, he grabbed her by the wrist, and threw her far away, “Scram!”
“Ah!” The woman screamed miserably and fainted.
Although the women were all lusting after him, they didn't dare come close.
Suddenly, Emmett saw a woman and a man in a corner.
The woman's pale back was facing him. She had already taken off most of her clothes as she danced on the man's lap. Their groans and moans echoed across the room.
Emmett was familiar with her back. He stopped and didn’t have the guts to step forward.
