Dying in silence

Chapter 37 Fred!

Sam closed my luggage box and glanced back at me.

“I thought we are done with you getting teary every second”she sighed.

“Anyway, I’m done packing your clothes. I will go inform your parents”she added and walked away.

I sniffed and wiped my tears away.

I stood up and walked to the window then drew the curtains apart.

I stared out in the open and sighed.

The morning seems cool and quiet.

“I’m going to miss everything…”I muttered. Every single thing.

I closed the curtains and stalked to to the bathroom.

I opened the tap and stretched my hands under the pouring water and rubbed it against each other.

We are leaving. We are leaving here.

I sprinkled some water on my face and looked up at the mirror.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

For a moment, I saw it smiled at me sadly and said it will also miss me.

Oh, God.

I held my head in my hand and walked back to the room where I met Sam.

“Your parents are waiting downstairs, let’s go”Sam said while handling my luggage.

“Okay”I said in a low voice.

“Look, Fontana. You will be good, I promise. Florida is a nice place and I believe making new friends won’t be that hard. It’s just a matter of time, you will get use to that place just like your did here, okay?”Sam said in a comforting manner.

I nodded and she flashed me a smile before moving out.

I grab my phone and gave the room a final look before moving out.

I took the stairs down and moved out of the door.

Sam was already waiting beside dad’s car and the door was opened already.

The guards were also standing beside their cars.

It was obvious they were all waiting for me.

I walked to the car and peeked inside.

Mom was seating at the backseat and dad was in the passenger seat in the front beside the driver.

Okay, so are we all taking a car together when there’s a lot if cars in the garage.

“I’ll take my car..”I said.

“Just get in”dad said.

“Huh, but…. we can’t just use…”I tried to protest.

“You listen to my words, Fontana. You listen”he interrupted.

I sighed devastatingly and stepped inside the car.

Sam closed the door and waved at me.

I nodded at her before the driver drove away.

“Roosevelt is a very dangerous man, Fontana. He’s dangerous and I believe he’s behind the shooting that occurred the other day”dad said.

I scoffed and shook my head.

He can’t go to that extent.

My mind suddenly drifted to Darrel and my mouth went agape.

That reminds me.

I haven’t tell him we are moving from here.

I quickly switched my phone on and went to my contacts.

I was surprised when I didn’t see any contact there.

Just blank.

No, this can’t be.

I rebooted my phone and it was still the same thing.

I felt tears welled up in my eyes as I stared at the empty contact.

Nothing.

“What’s wrong?”mom asked as she placed her left hand on my thigh.

“Mom, I can’t seem to find my whole contact, I don’t know what’s happening but my contact suddenly went blank…”I cried out.

Mom sighed and slowly took her hand away from my thigh.

“I took care of it”dad said from the front seat.

What?.

“What did you mean?, do you really have to go to this extent?”I almost yelled out.

Dad didn’t reply me..

“I’m sorry”Mom said softly.

Of course you are.!

…..

One week later

I moved around in the beach with my bikini.

I love the way how the lake is under my foots.

It has been a week since we left Houston and I am really worried Darrel hasn’t give me a call.

It been a week already.

The thought of him still having my number on his phone actually made me a little but relax cause I thought he would give me call.

I was always staring at my phone screen waiting for his call all day and night but nothing.

I stopped and watched as a family took pictures together happily.

The man was holding the camera taking pictures of his wife and son.

I walked over to him.

“Should I help you take that?”I asked.

He turned to me and nodded.

“Yeah, thank you”he smiled and handed me the camera and went to join his family.

I set the camera and smiled at them before taking a picture.

“Here”I said to the man.

He walked over to me and collected the camera.

He stared at the photo which I’d just took and smiled in satisfaction.

“Do you like it?”I asked.

“Of course it looks great, honey, come take a look at it”the man called his wife.

“Fontana?”I heard someone call my name.

Huh?

Who could probably call me or know my name here cause I haven’t made any friend.

So eager to know the person who called me, I turned around and it was…

“Fred!.”
