Hello, CEO! Don’t Play With Me!

[67]

“Should I pick you up?” asked Justin as soon as Giselle got out of her car. at the restaurant where Harvey was waiting, just to pass the time until the evening. Justin had planned to accompany them. Giselle’s expression of feelings for him didn’t have much influence on what he would do. including his treatment of Giselle.

For him, Giselle just hasn’t realized how she really feels. He let it go while giving direction, if the feelings Giselle had would not last long.

“No need.” Giselle smiled broadly. “You know, we want to spend more time than just eating here.”

Justin laughed. “Alright, I give in.”

“Irena’s been calling you all day anyway, right? Not to mention Hans. Didn’t you give them a day off? Intentionally to keep track of work?”

“That’s fine,” Justin grumbled unhappily. “I’ve given them the same day off. They’re the ones who don’t know better, who don’t use their time properly.”

“I don’t know why I don’t believe it.” Giselle laughed at that. “Never mind, you’ve been waiting too. I wanted you to pay all our bills.”

“You guys are amazing.” But that didn’t make Justin angry. Instead, he took out his wallet and gave Giselle a special card. “Put it on and have fun.”

Giselle would not refuse. “Thank you, my good boss.”

“Get out of my sight before I regret giving you that card.”

Giselle couldn’t help but giggle as she quickly entered the restaurant, where she immediately met Harvey who had been waiting for her. The smile that had originally graced the corners of Giselle’s lips began to vanish. It was replaced with a look of sadness that was far more painful than before. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

Justin’s warning made her feel that he wasn’t messing with his words. Although nothing had changed from the man’s attitude towards her, but what for if Giselle couldn’t have his heart? Isn’t it a very, very tiring thing to only have one-sided feelings?

Like the feelings that Giselle had for Justin.

“Damn it,” Giselle grumbled as she continued to walk, occasionally watching her steps so as not to take the wrong step. She also rubbed the corners of her eyes to avoid looking like she was crying. She didn’t want to risk the paparazzi accidentally meeting here.

Last night, her performance wowed the crowd. Although she had to retire first, but at least, Giselle had stolen a lot of attention. And she was sure, there were still many eyes on her around this area. Maybe they were still working to cover other news. That was why, Giselle still needed to be cautious. Although it was difficult, she tried to remain calm.

A waiter approached her and took Giselle by surprise. but immediately covered it with a sweet smile and asked to be escorted to the room where Harvey was waiting for her. he said, the girl was alone in booking such a luxurious place. who knows what Harvey had in mind with the selection of this French-style restaurant.

Even though she has a high honorarium from her work as an SEO model, eating at this place really burns a hole in your pocket. Ah, but it doesn’t seem to matter once in a while.

“Over there, Miss Giselle.” The waiter said as he pointed out the place which had been reserved earlier.

“Thank you.”

Giselle pushed gently on the door of this room that looked so private. the building she had just entered, turned out to be just the courtyard. exactly like a restaurant inside a well-known star hotel, but in this place there was more of a futuristic feel even though the other rooms were quite far apart.

“You took so long,” Harvey remarked with a frown. “I almost finished one of my favorite ice creams here.”

“Excessive.” Giselle accepted Harvey’s hug but her eyes wandered around to observe how the room was arranged. “You don’t usually ask to eat in a place like this?”

“Well… sometimes I need to spend money.” Harvey grinned slightly.

“Did you receive a visit before me?” asked Giselle as she pointed at the bouquet of flowers which this time were not just ordinary flowers but neatly arranged bills and if Giselle could count quickly, the money had a considerable value.

“Short visit.” Harvey asked Giselle to sit opposite him. “Shall we serve the food now?”

“Did you order it?”

Harvey shrugged his shoulders. “I ordered all the menus and you can rest easy, I paid for everything.”

Giselle’s brow furrowed deeply. Not to say who was going to pay the bill, but she had a feeling this wasn’t Harvey for once. “You… possessed?”

Harvey glared in disbelief. He moved closer to Giselle and wrapped his arms around her tightly. “Put your mouth to good use, Giselle!”

Giselle flinched but tried to pull away. “This isn’t you at all.”

“I have very good intentions for you, just so you know!” Harvey didn’t want to let go of the embrace. “I’d like to have a nice meal with you here. As a token of my gratitude to you… I’ve made good friends. And because of you, I’ve made a friend I can trust.”

Giselle raised her hands in surrender. “Alright.”

“That sucks, though.” Harvey finally let go of her embrace. He sighed for a moment but then laughed, lost in Giselle’s laughter this afternoon. After calming down a bit, he asked the waiter to serve the food that had been ordered. Afterward, he returned to the seat in front of Giselle. She noticed that her best friend was busy with the dessert menu.

“I’ve ordered a variety of chocolate desserts. Satisfied?”

Giselle grinned widely. “You know very well what I want. Thank you, Harvey. I really needed chocolate.”

“Did something happen?”

It may sound like a trivial question, but for Giselle who doesn’t have many friends, not many people she can trust like she trusts Brina and Justin, Harvey’s question has a lot of meaning.

“Maybe… since you left the banquet?”

“It will be a long story.”

“We have enough time to talk. That is why I asked for a place that is much more private than other areas.”

Giselle’s eyes narrowed suspiciously. “Do you also have something to share?”

Harvey was silent for a while but then, nodded slowly.

“Ah, so that’s why you asked me to a place like this.” Giselle smiled knowingly. “Alright then. Let’s draw lots, who will start the story first.”

“There is no such thing.”

“There is,” Giselle was not to be outdone.

“Too far-fetched!”

Giselle frowned. “That means we are the forerunners or the originators of the idea of who should start telling the sad part of our lives.”

“You’re this!” Harvey growled under his breath. “You go first!”

“Why me?”

“It looks like you’ve been crying. Didn’t you?”

Giselle gaped but then, she covered it up with a strange smile on her face. “What about you getting such an expensive gift?” Giselle pointed at the paper bag next to the bouquet of flowers.

Harvey was stunned. “Well… I lost.” He let out a long sigh. “But I hope you can digest it well.”

“Is it bad?”

“I guess so.”
