Despite the distractions, meeting new people, and Chandler who stood by her side the entire time, Elena didn’t forget the reason why she’d agreed to come in the first place, and took every opportunity she got to introduce not only herself but her business to people. To some she even gave her card. If one of them contacted her to cater for one of their big events, she’d call it a big win.
When music began to play and Chandler extended his hand towards Elena, a warm smile adorning his lips, she knew what he was asking before he even said it and she shook her head. “No, Chandler” she said, but she had a smile on her face. “You’re not doing this to me again,”
Chandler ignored her protest. “Elena, would you like to dance with me?” his voice held a gentle invitation, his eyes fixed on her with an unwavering sincerity.
Elena hesitated for a moment, glancing around at the swirling couples already on the dance floor, feeling a twinge of uncertainty. Yet, Chandler’s reassuring gaze and the enchanting ambiance of the evening beckoned her. With a hesitant smile, she placed her hand in his, nodding softly.
“I’m not much of a dancer, Chandler.” Elena admitted, her voice tinged with a hint of nervousness. “You know this already so I don’t understand why you’ve decided to torture me with it again,”
His gaze darkened suddenly and he pulled her closer, so that her breasts flattened deliciously against his hard chest. The move was unexpected, and a gasp escaped Elena’s lips, but she didn’t pull away. She couldn’t. She didn’t want to. He pressed his hand to the small of her back, so she curved into him. He felt wonderful, so hard and strong. Desire swirled through her, making her knees a little weak as she clung to him. Chandler didn’t seem to mind as he’d done it on purpose. It was an opportunity to hold her close and he’d been wanting to do that all night. Maybe this wasn’t as close as he actually wanted her, but it would do for now.
“I think you dance quite well, Elena,” he said gruffly. His voice was rough with desire even to his own ears. “I think about that dance a lot… All the time, and I wish it’d ended differently, but it’s okay. We still have time,”
Her soft lips were tipped up to him. He wanted to claim them. It was getting harder than ever to resist her and he felt starved for the feel of her flesh pressed to his. She put her hand on his chest, as though to ease his racing heart. It didn’t help. His heart only raced faster. “Chandler…” She began to protest, but it sounded like a plea instead. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Chandler’s grin widened, exuding confidence as he led her to the center of the dance floor without giving her a chance to say no again. “Don’t worry, I’ll guide you through it just like last time. Follow my lead,” he reassured her, his voice deep and husky. His touch gentle yet firm as he placed his hand on her waist. The warm glow of the chandeliers cast a soft illumination around them as they began to sway to the melodious rhythm.
Chandler’s movements were graceful, guiding Elena with effortless ease. He held her hand securely in his, their bodies moving in synchrony to the soothing music. Elena felt a rush of warmth envelop her as she settled into the rhythm, guided by Chandler’s confident steps. She focused on his steady gaze, allowing herself to relax in his embrace. Gradually, the initial nervousness melted away, replaced by a sense of comfort and ease that she found herself thinking of all the touches she hadn’t had for so long, all the inappropriate ways those strong, masculine hands could slide over her naked body… inside her. Something inside her suddenly wanted to take a chance, to be a little outrageous. She wanted Chandler. He wanted her. They were both single and interested. It could be a wild, reckless night if they let it. Her fingertips quivered as they brushed against his suit jacket and she suspected her palms were damp.
His touch was reassuring, his presence anchoring her amidst the whirlwind of emotions. The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them lost in the intimate dance. His movements were deliberate yet gentle. As they twirled gracefully, their steps falling in sync, Chandler leaned in slightly, his voice soft against the backdrop of the melody.
“Are you enjoying the party, Elena?” he inquired, his eyes meeting hers with a gentle curiosity.
Elena, feeling the warmth of the moment, smiled in response. Clearly his touch had stunned her into silence, “Yes, it’s lovely I must admit. Thank you for inviting me,” she replied, her voice carrying a touch of appreciation and desire. The enchantment of the moment washed over her, feeling the connection deepen with each step, each subtle movement in harmony with Chandler’s lead. She liked feeling him so close to her. It felt good. It felt safe and with each passing moment she found herself wanting to reach up and kiss him. Something deeper was blossoming between them. She could feel it… It thrilled and scared her at the same time that she felt confused.
Chandler’s smile widened at her words, a flicker of satisfaction lighting up his eyes. “I’m glad you came with me,” he confessed, his gaze warm and earnest. His voice was low, thick as he promised, “Because I’m looking forward to showing you just how amazing we could be together, Elena.”
Her heart skipped a beat. Just one. Something about the way her name rode softly, smoothly, on his exhalation, thrilled her. But she managed to keep her own breaths even. “Oh?”
He nodded. “There’s nothing boring about what’s going to happen between us if we let it.”
But something was already happening between them. All he’d ever done was touch her as they danced and she didn’t even consider that boring. A shiver of excitement coursed through her. It started with her lips, which quivered and parted, then moved down her entire body, which suddenly felt so much more…alert, somehow. Her breasts tingled under the fabric of her gown, the sensation sensual against her tight nipples. Excitement had awakened every inch of her. It had been there, sparking right beneath the surface, for so long. Now the spark had caught and spread into a wildfire of interest and arousal.
