Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 765: They're Trending Again

Elsa's situation with her in-laws didn't really need to be this complicated.

She and Jared were now working for the government, and with a case like this-where injustice was already evident-all it would take was a word to the right people, and someone would handle it. But Elsa wanted more than just settling old scores.

First, she wanted to send a clear warning to the Hidden family. Second, she was intentionally stirring things up, hoping to lure out those hiding in the shadows.

Otherwise, dealing with certain people who only operated behind the scenes would be tricky.

---

Hayden received the signal and yelled into the phone, "Boss, did you hear that? Serena wants you to help sue two people..."

Dexter replied calmly, "I heard it, I'm not deaf. Tell Serena I'll deliver the materials this afternoon. She doesn't need to worry."

The call was on speaker, and Dexter's icy voice echoed throughout the hospital room.

Tina gave Hayden a few last instructions before letting him hang up. Then, she turned to Elsa.

"Last night, Cole sent me word that the person who smeared Mr. Dyer has been found. Elsa, I'll have Courtney stay with you to help care for Mr. Dyer. As for your family, I've already sent someone to protect them. You don't need to worry." "Tha-"

Tears welled up in Elsa's eyes, but before she could finish her thanks, her phone rang loudly.

On the other end, Austin's voice was panicked as he shouted, "Elsa, don't let them see anything online! That family is unbelievable-they're twisting the story completely!" "What?" Elsa gasped.

Hayden, who had already pulled out his phone before Austin's warning, muttered, "Damn, these people move fast."

He opened a social media platform, and the hashtag #DemonicTeacherMolests StudentCausing DepressionAndSuicide was trending at the top.

The next four spots were related topics: #PippaOgden's FriendSpeaks Out, #PippaOgden's MotherResponds, #Joseph DyersAbusesPower, and so on.

When Hayden clicked on the main hashtag, a video recorded by Mrs. Ogden and her comatose daughter, Pippa, was pinned at the top by promotional accounts. The comment section was a storm of insults:

- "Why isn't this old creep dead yet?! At his age, why is he still ruining people's lives? What were the parents thinking back then? Why didn't they report him?!"

- "Do the police even know how to do their jobs? They arrested him, but he's walking free? Makes you wonder who's backing Joseph Dyers!"

- "Obviously, someone's protecting him! No way he'd be this bold otherwise!"

- "That old bastard should've been hit by a car ages ago! How did someone like him even become a teacher? I'd be scared to think what kind of students he 'taught'!"

- "Here's some tea: I heard Joseph Dyers is backed by that Tina chick-yeah, the future Mrs. Farrell."

- "Come on, at least make your lies believable. Tina was just a kid back then. She wasn't even in Ashbury, and the Reed family hadn't found her yet. How could she be his backer?"

The comment section was a cesspool of rage and filth, and Hayden's expression grew darker with every line he read.

Even though he wasn't particularly close to Elsa, the sheer venom online was enough to make his blood boil.

Elsa and Tina didn't even need to look at their phones. One glance at Hayden's face told them everything they needed to know.

"They sure didn't waste any time," Tina said in a cold, angry tone.

A frosty smile curved on her lips. "Since they're so eager, why don't we add some fuel to the fire?"

Jared's eyes narrowed as he gave a chilling order, "Nathan, send some of our men. Bring them in."

Elsa's voice trembled as she asked, "Mr. Farrell, are you saying the Bailey family might target my in-laws? What about Austin and my daughter-"

Tina reassured her. "The Dyer family is already under my protection. Don't worry. We'll leave the hospital through the back door shortly. If all goes as expected, this place won't stay quiet for long." Hayden held up his phone. "I've already called for our cars. Nathan and I will grab two wheelchairs. We shouldn't delay-let's move now."

Sometimes, Hayden's sense of urgency was even sharper than Tina's.

---

As Hayden and Nathan pushed the wheelchairs into the elevator, a group of people carrying cameras charged into Joseph Dyer's hospital room. The hospital security couldn't stop them.

"Joseph Dyers?! Where is he?! Hand over that old scumbag-he's getting what he deserves today!"

"What kind of hospital is this?! Taking in someone who deserves to be cut into pieces-do you even have a conscience?!"

"Joseph Dyers! Come out! Where is he?! Did the hospital hide him?!"

The commotion grew louder, attracting other patients. People in neighboring rooms came out to see what was happening.

When they heard there was a "rapist" staying nearby, they naturally joined in the uproar.

Tina and Jared stood hidden in a corner, watching the mob.

Their icy gazes mirrored one another's as Tina muttered, "The Bailey family doesn't even care if the old couple dies. Who came up with such a cruel plan?" "Who else?" Jared sneered.

Other than them, the only ones aware of the old couple's fragile condition were the Baileys and the so-called grieving parents of the "suicidal" child.

"And Kelly from the Bailey family," Jared added.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

Tina's expression darkened at the mention of Kelly. "Luke Gill, the Bailey family..." she murmured, losing interest in the mob as she turned to Jared. "How much do you think the Bailey family was involved in the Dyer family's formula back then?"

Tina had uncovered some intriguing information in the Gill family's records.

Unlike the destitute act Luke Gill had put on for Elsa, the Gill family was actually a renowned international pharmaceutical giant-specializing in anti-aging and antioxidant health products.

On the surface, there seemed to be no connection between the Gills and the Baileys.

But buried in Luke Gill's records was an interesting detail: about a decade ago, the Gill family's list of shareholders included a man named Max Bailey.

The file noted that Max Bailey was from Ashbury and had once been a close friend of Victor Dyer.

However, for reasons unknown, the two had a falling out. Max took his money and left for overseas ventures.

Max Bailey had also been one of the Dyer family's shareholders back in the day.

Interestingly enough, he was also a minor but indispensable figure in the GTO organization.

After Justin's death and Dorothy Russell's disappearance, GTO had been in shambles.

Some members fled; others were captured.

Max Bailey was among those caught, but rumors suggested there were people working tirelessly to secure his release.

Tina flexed her fingers thoughtfully. "Immortality... it really is something those in power can't resist, isn't it? Dorothy Russell, the Hidden family-they're all the same. For the sake of so-called eternal life, they'll stop at nothing, sacrificing countless innocents. How are they any different from monsters?"

Jared shrugged and ruffled Tina's hair. "Humans are insatiable by nature. Our job is to pull the greediest ones down."
