Chapter 178 One Dead and One Seriously Injured
After 5 p.m., Rosa got off of work and saw Andy's car by her office building.
"Rosa!" Andy waved his hand when he saw her.
Rosa walked over with a smile.
She got in the car and fiddled with her phone.
"Why couldn't I get through your phone? I thought... something happened to you!" Andy was a little embarrassed. He thought she was refusing him.
Rosa turned on her phone and looked at him apologetically. "I forgot to charge my phone last night. Harmony helped me with it, but I forgot to turn my phone back on."
"I see. Hanna's home. Let's buy some food and bring them back!" Andy looked at her and asked.
"Whatever!" She echoed while lowering her head, busy with her phone.
Her phone screen lit up, and she looked out of the window.
In the next second, her phone beeped, and countless messages poured in.
Rosa was stunned. She looked down and found that she had dozens of missed calls from the same person.
Who was this person?
Why were they calling her?
Rosa returned the call.
Soon, the phone was connected, and a familiar voice sounded. "Is this Miss Rosa Lopez? I'm Denny Hill!"
Rosa was stunned. She frowned and asked, "Uncle Denny?"
"Yeah, it's me. I couldn't get through to you. Mr. Lewis got into a car accident!"
"What?" Rosa was shocked, and then she asked, "How did he get into a car accident?"
"The driver drank a lot and raced towards Mr. Lewis' car. The man died on the spot, and Mr. Lewis' car was knocked over. Some passers-by saved Mr. Lewis, and his car exploded in the next few minutes. He's in bad condition. Come over quick! He's at International Medical Center!" Denny said and hung up the phone.
His car... exploded?
What about him...
"What's wrong?"
Andy couldn't hear everything on the phone call, but he vaguely knew a car accident had happened.
But her pale face gave him a bad feeling.
"To the hospital! Take me to International Medical Center!" Rosa looked at him and yelled.
Andy frowned. "Who got into a car accident?"
"My uncle..." Rosa crossed her arms, feeling uneasy. She couldn't help thinking of the words, "He got into a car accident..." Andy's eyes darkened.
Uncle?
It had been a long time since she said this name.
While she was away, she would dream of this person, who she called her uncle every night.
He knew she would lose her mind every time she did so.
"Andy, take me to the hospital quickly. My uncle got into a car accident. I must go there immediately!" She grabbed his wrist and begged.
Andy looked at her anxious look and felt uncomfortable. He couldn't help but pour a basin of cold water on her. "Are you sure this car accident is true?"
Rosa suddenly froze.
"You know how cunning that man is. His car is worth ten million. Normal people would avoid crashing into such luxury cars because they are afraid of the huge compensation that comes with them. How could someone deliberately run into his car?"
"Uncle Denny said that the man was drunk, so he must not have noticed it..."
"Rosa!" Andy shouted her name loudly. "Calm down. Think about why you came back! You came back for revenge, not love. Have you forgotten that your enemy is his family?"
His words were like a sharp sword, stabbing into her heart.
"I don't care if the car accident is real or not, but if you can't stop yourself from being soft-hearted, he will have a reason to pester you!"
Rosa's lips trembled, and her body shook. "Who... Who would joke about a car accident?"This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
"Others won't, but he will. He will do and use any methods to get you! This might be one of his tricks to gain your pity!"
"It turns out only the dead can gain a place in your heart!"
For a moment, this sentence came to her mind.
"Rosa, you've finally gotten rid of him. If you go now, you will be involved with each other again!" Andy frowned, and his eyes showed pain. Why?
Why did deep down she still care about him?
Rosa's hand fell to her side slowly. She lowered her eyes and stopped talking.
Seeing this, Andy drove the car in the opposite direction of the hospital.
Along the way, she held her phone and felt uneasy.
At this moment, she received a Twitter notification on her phone.
The content was a car accident that had happened at Woodland Road. One was dead, and one was seriously injured. A luxury car worth tens of millions exploded on the spot.
Rosa's eyes widened, and her heart skipped a beat.
Then she said, "Take me to the hospital now."
Andy's car stopped abruptly, causing the cars behind them to brake too. Then curses came from behind.
Andy looked at her in disbelief. "Do you still want to go to the hospital, even if you know it might be fake?"
"It's just a look! I'll leave if he's fine!" Rosa's tone was firm.
Andy smiled bitterly and said in a helpless voice, "Would you be as nervous if I got into a car accident?"
"Andy, don't do this!" Rosa frowned and said in a hurry. Her gaze was uncomfortable.
"It's okay. I cherish my life. I won't deliberately get into an accident to earn sympathy!" He saw her expression. She was hurt. Why couldn't he warm her heart?
Didn't she fall in love with him five years ago?
Which part of him was inferior to that man?
Rosa didn't say anything. She knew that he was angry.
However, she was worried about Henry.
Andy made a turn and drove to the medical center.
After a while, they arrived at the hospital.
"Go ahead. I'll wait for you in the car!" Andy's voice was very muffled.
Rosa looked back at him and sighed. "Andy, I'm sorry..."
Then, she closed the door and walked to the hospital.
Andy immediately picked up a cigarette and lit it, inhaling it irritably.
In the presidential suite ward.
"Mrs. Lewis, the patient needs rest. Please leave!" The head nurse bowed and said respectfully.
"Auntie, go back with Asher. I will stay and accompany him." Paige's gentle voice sounded.
Seeing this, Mrs. Lewis nodded and said, "I am relieved with you by his side, Paige."
"Leave!" To everyone's surprise, Henry's dull voice rang out.
"Come on, Henry. Don't you want me to be rest assured? Let Paige stay with you. You guys will get married sooner or later. We're family. There's

no need to be embarrassed!
"That's right. Paige will stay with you, and I will take Mom back!" Asher said hurriedly.
"Leave! Everyone!" Henry's voice was emotionless and cold.
Seeing this, the head nurse hurriedly said, "Why don't you all leave? We have special doctors and nurses, so you don't need to worry!"
"Mrs. Lewis, please head back. I'll take care of Mr. Lewis!" Denny said respectfully.
The three of them turned their heads to look at Henry on the hospital bed. Seeing this, they said, "Okay, you rest up. We'll be back tomorrow!"
After they spoke, Denny went to open the door and led them to out.
Denny watched as they entered the elevator before turning around, ready to come back.
At this moment, the elevator opened with a ding.
Rosa's figure appeared.
Stunned, Denny looked at her in disbelief. She seemed to have changed after five years.
"Uncle Denny," Rosa called out to him.
"You came. Come with me. Mr. Lewis is here." Denny immediately took her inside.
"How're his injuries? Are they serious? I won't go if he's fine!" Rosa still didn't dare to go.
"It's quite bad. His car even exploded and the other party is dead. Do you think with such conditions his injuries won't be
serious?" Denny raised his voice.
Rosa felt a little guilty, so she did not dare to say anything.
Seeing that she was hesitating, Denny simply grabbed her wrist and dragged her into the ward.
Soon, they arrived at the door of the president's suite ward.
"Go in and take a look!"
Denny opened the door and pushed her in.
The first thing that came into her sight was not a hospital bed but a large living room with luxurious decorations.
There was a closet and a washroom.
There was also a desk with a computer and much more.
Was this the rumoured presidential ward worth 50,000 a night?
It was so extravagant!
Was there a need to live in such luxury while hospitalized?
She walked further in until she reached the bed. She found Henry lying on it with his eyes closed.
His forehead and legs were bandaged, and his arm was connected to an IV drip.
There were cuts on his handsome face.
It was distressing to look at him.
He looked pale. "Didn't I tell you to leave? Don't bother me!" Henry didn't open his eyes, but he frowned, showing his displeasure.
"Did you speed again?" Suddenly, Rosa's voice sounded.
Henry was stunned and immediately opened his eyes.
"You came. I'm not dreaming, am I?" He smiled bitterly.
However, Rosa frowned and said unhappily, "How can you smile at a time like this?"
"Are you worried about me? It seems true that only the dead has a place in your heart!" He laughed, looking a bit heartless.
Seeing this, Rosa was so angry that she turned around and was about to leave.
Henry's face darkened, and his thin lips curled into a mocking and indifferent smile.
In the next second, he pulled out the needle from the back of his arm and caught up to her in a few steps.
Before Rosa could open the door, Henry stretched out his hand from behind her and closed the door.
She looked at him with wide eyes. She stared at his now lowered face, which was as handsome as ever, asking, "Are you crazy?"
Henry looked down at her with a slight smile on his thin lips.
He raised his hand and rubbed the blood away. With a casual smile, he asked, "Did you fall for my trick?"
"You're mad!" Rosa turned to open the door.
Henry hugged her from behind. He held her waist tightly, his strong body was pressed against hers.
His black eyes were red, and his
voice was hoarse as he choked, "I got the surveillance footage for outside the villa from five years ago.
It's been a long since then, so the footage was blurry. I wanted to recover it... but I ended up in a car
accident. And the only backup footage was burned."
