Chapter 3283 Arnold's Grievously Wounded
As Arnold hurled Gadel into the turbulent river below, Aelion's fury ignited instantly. His eyes flared with anger, and he was ready to strike.
However, Arnold ignored Aelion's murderous glare, focusing solely on tossing Gadel into the swift current. Within a few breaths, the raging waters had swallowed Gadel's figure, leaving no trace behind.
"You're asking for death!" Aelion roared, his eyes blazing with a furious, almost frenzied light. His delicate hand lashed out at Arnold with a fierce blow.
If the strike landed directly, it would surely leave Arnold grievously wounded, if not dead. He, however, had ceased struggling as his strength had depleted. He could only watch helplessly as Aelion's strike descended.
In that fleeting moment, his gaze drifted to Jaylen, who lay injured and unconscious in the distance, and a somber thought crossed his mind.
Mr. Wills, I'm afraid I won't be able to treat you to that grand feast I promised...
Aelion's hand crashed down onto Arnold's armor. The impact caused the armor to crumple inward like paper beneath the force. He felt as if he'd been hit by a freight train, his body hurtling through the air before slamming into a massive tree near Jaylen. A sharp pain surged through him, and blood surged up his throat, spilling from his lips in a crimson arc.
Aelion looked at Arnold, who was incapacitated but not dead, with a cold smile on his face. With a final act of cruelty, he drove two jade needles into Arnold's and Jaylen's chests. As he sensed their life forces waning, he turned to leave.
His men had likely secured dominance over all of Everton by now. Soon, he would have complete control over Montiria. His eyes gleamed with ruthless ambition. Once he ruled Montiria, the so-called Dornia and Druira would eventually bow to its power. "Aelion Hale!" Suddenly, a booming voice shattered the forest's eerie calm. "You treacherous traitor, your ambition will be your undoing!"
The sudden intrusion sent a chill down Aelion's spine. He whirled around, eyes darting to identify the unseen threat with heightened
alertness. Someone had mana.ne
to get close without his notice-a formidable opponent.
The voice continued, each word dripping with arcane power, "Aelion Hale, I curse you to burn in hellfire at noon and freeze in glacial torment at midnight, day after day!"
Aelion felt an alien presence invade his body as the curse took hold. Before he could react, the air shimmered with deadly intent.
Black swords materialized from thin air, their edges gleaming with otherworldly malice. They sliced through the space around him faster than the eye could follow. Relying on instinct, he managed to evade most of the assault, but three deep cuts
marred his body.
A shadow of grim determination crossed Aelion's face. He was facing a master-an expert from the witch clan. The insidious power seeping into his body only intensified his grimness. "Who is it? Show yourself!" Aelion demanded.
In response, a figure cloaked in black appeared on a tree behind Arnold. The figure exuded no visible aura of power, seeming almost ordinary.
"Did you ambush me over Gadel?" Aelion's voice was icy and tinged with frustration. He knew this black-clad figure outmatched him.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
"Aelion, given your treacherous
ambitions and the grievous injury inflicted upon Elder Wynter, do you think the witch clan would stand idly by?" The figure's voice resonated like a mighty bell, causing Aelion's brow to furrow deeply.
"We can..." As Aelion opened his mouth to negotiate, a searing pain lanced through his forehead. He immediately threw himself into a desperate roll.
Another obsidian blade whispered past, slicing through his clothing. If it hadn't been for his powerful intuition, he would have been dead.
