Subtitle: My Contract Marriage
Written by: Marvy Hyacinth
“Hi.”
April greeted dryly.
“Alexa?”
“Yes…?”
April asked.
“What are you doing here?”
Anderson asked.
“Ughm… I’m to start work here today?”
Alexa replied and rolled her eyes at him.
“Really? Geez, I didn’t even remember.”
Anderson said holding his head.
“Well, I can go home and start tomorrow”
Alexa offered.
‘Please say yes. Say yes. I want to go back home.’
Alexa screamed inside.
“No. You’ll start today. Just give me some time.”
Anderson said and closed the door at her face without giving her room to say anything more.
Alexa huffed.
“Talk about being rude!”
Alexa breathed forcefully to show how pissed off she was.
‘Well, it is his house’
“Oh shut up!”
Alexa shut off the voice speaking.
After standing for about a minute and the door wasn’t showing any sign of a person coming, she decided it was best if she went back to the bench she was sitting on.

Anderson walked upstairs to his bedroom and saw the cheap human still on his bed, undressed.
“Hey.”
Anderson called roughly.
“Who was that?”
June asked a bit too possessive.
Anderson huffed.
“You have no right to question me.”
“I’m your girlfriend bitch! I have every right to.”
June replied.
“Thank goodness you said, girlfriend. That means we’re not married yet.”
Anderson pointed out.
“So…?”
June asked trying to know what Anderson was driving at.
“So, leave.”
Anderson said blankly.
“What?!”
June asked shocked.
“You heard me.”
“Did you just ask me to leave, Anderson?”
“I ain’t repeating myself twice.”
Anderson replied.
“Fine! Don’t ever call me back.”
June said, trying to threaten Anderson in the hope that he’d beg her.
One thing she didn’t know was that Anderson was already tired of her whims and her eating his money each time they had s*x.
She unknowingly just offered Anderson a chance to get rid of her.
“Girl you’re so oblivious. I ain’t calling you back.”
Anderson brought his face closer to hers still on the bed.
“Anderson!”
June yelled.
“Just get dressed and get your filthy self outta here.”
Anderson said firmly and walked out to give her some room to get dressed.
Soon, June was done dressing and she went downstairs with the purse she brought with her when she visited the night that passed.
“I’ll make you pay Anderson!”
She yelled still on the stairs.
Anderson laughed hard, but he stopped as quickly as he had started.
“As if! Get the fvck out.”
Anderson pursed his lips tightly.
“Oh! Don’t forget to take the money on that table over there.”
Anderson added.
“What for?”
“It’s payment for last night and this morning.”
Anderson winked.
“Wait… Are you tryna call me an sl*t?”
June asked.
“Well, you’ve been acting like it all this while, why is it a problem now?”
Anderson asked.
June didn’t fail to notice the hint of sarcasm dripping from his words.
I’m not gonna take that money. He fucking called me an SL*t.
‘I’d advise you to take it. You need it to take care of your expensive wants .’
Her mind advised.
Well, that is indeed true. I need to buy new clothes and shoes.
‘Yeah, babe. Go take the money and walk out of his life proudly.’
“You’ll call me back. I know you will.”
June yelled as she picked up the money and left.
“Only in your dreams Hun.”
Anderson muttered.
He turned his back to the door and was about to go back to his room when he remembered why he came inside in the first place.
“Alexa!”
He muttered and ran to the door.
“Well, well, well. See who decided to remember I was here… Waiting!”
Alexa said half yelling.
“You coming in or not?”
Anderson asked.
“Are you asking me that?”All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
Alexa asked getting angry.
“No… Not you. I’m talking to the air behind you. Stupid!”
Anderson yelled.
“You’re calling me stupid?”
“No Hunny. I was talking to the air behind you.”
Anderson replied sarcastically.
“Ain’t you supposed to be apologizing to me or something?”
Alexa asked.
“For …?”
“You wasted a whole 45 minutes of my time!”
Alexa answered already in a mood to punch him.
“Oh… That.”
Anderson sighed.
Alexa thinking he had realized what he did and was now going to apologize breathed away some of her anger, but it returned as soon as she heard what Anderson said next.
“I don’t apologize to no fucking body.”
“What?!”
“You heard me!”
Anderson said.
“You’re sure rude.”
Alexa huffed.
“Suits my name… Don’t you think?”
“Argh! I’m leaving!”
Alexa said and so saying, tried to walk away.
“Uh oh.”
Anderson said as he landed a grip on her wrist.
“I don’t think so.”
He completed.
Alexa looked up at him, and seeing how his eyes had darkened, she couldn’t help but get frightened.
“What are you doing?”
Alexa asked scared.
When no response was coming from Anderson, she tried to wiggle her hand away from his.
“Leave me alone!”
Anderson’s eyes darkened the more and he tightened his grip on her hand and dragged her inside his house.
“Leave me the fvck alone !”
Alexa yelled as fear gripped her.
Anderson dragged her into his house and locked the door behind them.
Alexa’s heart jumped in her mouth and chills ran down her spine.
Was he going to rape her?
‘No dimwit! If he wanted a lady on his bed, he has enough money to go get one.’
The voice in her head spoke.
“Shut the fvck up stupid! What do you know? You’re always siding this bitch every time!”
‘Well, because he’d never hurt you!’
“What do you know? You don’t even know him!”
Alexa said inside.
Before the voice in her head could speak again, she blocked it away and focused on where Anderson was taking her.
They were climbing up a spiral staircase now and from the looks of everything, it seemed like the door a few steps away was his room.
She tried to free her hand from his, but it only angered Anderson the more.
He held her on tightly, it began to hurt.
“Stop it, my wrist is hurting.”
Alexa cried out in pain, but it looked like Anderson had completely gone deaf to her pleas.
Soon, they stood in front of a door, and as soon as he unbolted it, Anderson pushed Alexa in.
She was about to fall, but Anderson held her on cue.
Tears burned at the back of Alexa’s eyelids, but she decided she wasn’t gonna let the monster standing in front of her see how weak she was.
No matter how much it hurt, she was going to make sure she didn’t shed even a tear!
Alexa suddenly realized she was in what seemed like his room and started breathing heavily.
“So this is going to be the end of me.”
She thought.
‘No, it’s not.’
The same voice came, and Alexa could swear she’d have stabbed it if it were human.
“He’s going to take what’s precious to me as a female, don’t you see?”
‘I can feel that’s how things look like right now, but I’m putting it to you that he isn’t gonna do that. He isn’t even thinking towards the direction you’re speaking of.’
The voice assured Alexa.
“Why do you fvcking take his side all the time?”
Alexa asked confused.
‘I don’t know. Shouldn’t you be asking yourself that question?’
The voice asked back.
“Why would…”
Alexa didn’t get to ask the voice in her head the question she wanted to… Because her hand was free now, she realized.
She came back to reality and saw that true to what she had felt, Anderson had decided to let his grip on her wrist loose.
Alexa massaged her hurting wrist and raised her head to look at the figure standing in front of her.
Anderson looked at her face and their gazes locked.
Tearing his eyes away from hers, Anderson walked towards a cupboard adjacent to his bed and opened one of its drawers.
Alexa decided to seize the opportunity, run away and never come back.
She ran gently on her heels, but as soon as she reached the door and was about to turn the knob, Anderson’s voice stopped her.
“Come back here.”
He commanded gruffly.
Alexa turned back and discovered his eyes had become more darkened.
Seeing him like that scared the shit out of her, but she decided to disobey anyway.
She twisted the knob on the door and opened the door before dashing the door down the stairs.
“Alexa!”
Anderson thundered.
Alexa looked back and saw Anderson standing in front of the room she was in a while ago.
She read the look on his face and decided it was best if she left instead of going back to him.
Alexa walked to the door and discovered much to her displeasure that the door was locked, and nobody apart from the owner of the house and whoever he wanted could unlock the door.
She knew Anderson wouldn’t open the door for her, and she was sure not a person he wanted to be able to unlock the door.
She tried to open the door severally but was denied access.
“You do know it ain’t opening without my thumbprint on it right?”
A voice came from behind her and she shuddered.
Slowly, she turned to look at her ‘New Boss’.
