Master of his heart (Brielle and Max)

Chapter 1179

The hell on earth showed no signs of letting up.

After the indiscriminate bombings by several powerful nations, they initially hoped to gather evidence. But the chaos was overwhelming, and a sudden mudslide spiraled out of control, barreling downhill in a frenzy. Everyone was running for their lives.

From the helicopter above, all you could see was churning mud and water, with the occasional tree breaking the surface.

The base was obliterated, with only the lucky survivors knowing what it used to be.

Even the mighty military forces of these nations were helpless against nature's fury.

The compound was reduced to rubble, then completely pulverized by natural forces, erasing any trace of its original state.

The base's downfall wasn't Dustin and King's doing; their conflict just sped up its destruction. Somebody had wanted it gone, badly. If not that night, then some night soon.C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.

Irene was resolute; even in destruction, she intended to leave a message for the monarchy. The explosion at the base, with the bomb planted right at the North American border, meant the North American monarchy had to explain themselves.

So, by dawn, the international media turned to the North American royal family, hoping the current heir, Arthur, would shed some light on what happened on that mountain.

Arthur had only just been released by Dustin, initially planning to use Dustin's power to quietly eliminate the base, then whitewash its history and take over smoothly.

But now, with the base destroyed

and international suspicions of North American clandestine

research North America found itself in the hot seat. Meanwhile, the real ebot players, the Lynch family and Saudi Arabia, had made a clean getaway.

Raymond, with his good international connections, had managed to borrow a helicopter from the international coalition early on. The flag hanging from the

helicopter meant that shooting

it

down would be an act of wa against the entire international community, allowing them to retreat

unscathed.

Outside, the world was in turmoil over the mountain incident, with several countries already in heated discussions.

But at the hospital, it was surprisingly calm, everyone waiting for Brielle to wake up.

Dustin and King were also slightly injured, but nothing serious.

King sat by Brielle's bedside, refusing to let go of her hand. Sarah and Raymond sat nearby, watching him in silence. Anyone else would have felt uneasy under such scrutiny, but King was blissfully unaware.

Even when offering water, he smoothly called them "Mom, Dad," much to Raymond's irritation, his fists clenching on his knees. But with Brielle still unconscious, he had no choice but to swallow his annoyance.

Sarah, once a powerhouse in the financial world, now found herself at a loss with this new title. She could only muster an awkward smile.

King, completely oblivious in front of others, mistook their silence for acceptance and cheerfully awaited Brielle's awakening.

Brielle's head injury was severe, but the doctors assured there was no major concern, just a need for rest. Still, two days had passed, and she remained unconscious, her mind racing with strange, fragmented memories from that chaotic night. Faces were blurred, leaving her with an intense headache, as if her head might explode.

When she finally woke, she felt someone holding her hand, fingers intertwined. Her eyelashes fluttered open, and she saw King, hunched over, meticulously trimming her nails, unaware she was awake. From her angle, she could only see his profile, his lashes casting shadows on his cheeks. His movements were careful, inspecting each trimmed nail before moving on to the next.
