Chapter 14: Get Things Done Before the Perfume Finishes
Chapter 14: Get Things Done Before the Perfume Finishes
Diana found out that Brooklyn had a heightened sense of smell after she got to know Brooklyn.
Since Brooklyn was the reason why Mirabelle asked Diana to make perfume, she wanted her sister to shot herself in the foot.
During the process of making perfume, Diana added three ingredients that she wouldn’t use into the perfume. Only those with a heightened sense of smell could smell it.
They would feel nausea after smelling the combination of those three ingredients.
Based on how well Diana knew about the Sliwell City, even if Mirabelle sent her perfume to other perfumers for evaluation, nobody would know Diana added those extra ingredients into the perfume.
Well, karma is a bitch.
Mirabelle framed her many years ago, and she took Harley’s perfume. Now, perfume was the cause of her failure.
Diana stretched her arms happily, then turned on the television. She replied to Mirabelle’s email while watching TV.
“Ms. Moss, those perfumes were customized strictly based on your sample. If you have doubt, you are welcome to send my perfume to other famous perfumers for evaluation and see if I made any mistake. If I didn’t, you have to apologize to me.”
Mirabelle still thought Diana was the kind sister that she could bully as she wished?
The reason she came back this time was to let Mirabelle know, whatever she took from her six years ago, she will have to return it all.
Diana closed her laptop and put it on her coffee table after replying to Mirabelle’s email.
Diana didn’t know much about Mr. and Mrs. Hill, so she had to ask Rachel to investigate for her.
“Sighed…” Diana felt worried about the promise she made in front of Brooklyn.
Diana was confident that only she could make a perfume that suited Mr. and Mrs. Hill’s liking, but she knew nothing about them.
It meant nothing even if Diana could make the best perfume in the world if the person who wore it didn’t like it.
Diana’s mobile phone buzzed on the coffee table.
Diana took her phone up, and she thought it was some customers wanting her to make perfume for them.
When Diana saw the caller ID, it chased away her worries.
“Rachel, I thought you forget about me.”
Rachel’s sweet tone rose on the side of the phone. The background from Rachel side was a little too noisy, and Diana could hear people speaking French, “I’m in France Fashion Week now. I asked my people to look into Mr. and Mrs. Hill after seeing your email. I think my letters are probably arriving tomorrow. There are details about the floral scent Mr. and Mrs. Hill likes. So, get ready to produce your masterpiece! I believe there’s no one, but you could make a perfume that suits the Mr. and Mrs. Hill’s liking.”
Six years ago, the Smith family saved Diana from the sea when she was thrown into it by Mirabelle.
The Smith family then treated Diana as their own child. Rachel and Diana was almost the same age, and they became best friends right away.
After finding out about Diana’s talent in making perfume, they supported her to continue venturing into her path.
As Diana’s best friend, Rachel was always the first to try on Diana’s new perfume when she created a new scent.
“But of course, you must save some of the Mr. and Mrs. Hill’s perfume for me! I’m your loyal fans!”
“Sure!” Diana never doubted the effort Rachel put in collecting information for her, “You will always be the first to try my product.”
At the same time, Mirabelle pursed her lips when she saw Diana’s reply.
Mirabelle took out her phone and dialled a number. After the call went through, she slowly said, “Mom, you see, Brooklyn depended on Diana’s perfume to relieve his insomnia, but those perfumes were almost finished. I found a world-class perfumer, Anna, to help to recreate those perfumes. However, Brooklyn became colder to me after smelling them.”
“Mirabelle, you think Anna caused the problem?” Jessica was around forty years old, and she looked attractive. She waved her hand and signalled the maid who was massaging her to leave.
Mirabelle nodded and said affirmatively, “Yes. Why else Brooklyn became furious today when he smelled the perfume he was so used to? But Anna insisted that her perfume was made according to my sample. She even asked me to send her perfume to other perfumers for evaluation.”
Jessicasquinted her eyes and said after some thinking, “Mirabelle, don’t panic. Use Diana’s perfume to comfort Brooklyn first. Remember, you are the only one who could get Brooklyn some sleep. No one
else could. So, you must be the future young mistress of the Powell family. For those perfumes, I will contact some famous perfumers to run some evaluation on them. I will make sure that Anna regrets it if she dares to mess with your perfume.”

“What if the perfume finished?” Mirabelle stared at the bottom of the perfume bottle, “Without the perfume, Brooklyn would kick me out of his house.”
A sly smile appeared on Jessica’s face, “Then get things done before it finishes. As long as you’re pregnant with Brooklyn’s child, he will have to marry you.”
…
Mirabelle received a second evaluation report from another famous perfumer after three days.
The report clearly stated that Anna’s perfume used the same ingredients as Diana’s perfume.
Mirabelle angrily threw the report on the table. She spent millions of dollar on recreating Diana’s perfume, but it didn’t work on Brooklyn at all. What was the use of it even if it was the same as Diana’s perfume?
In addition, Mirabelle needed to get rid of all her expensive clothes because she sprayed Anna’s perfume on all of them.
There were high fashion dresses and some limited edition clothes as well.
Mirabelle’s heart was bleeding, but since Brooklyn didn’t like the scent of the perfume, she had to ask the maids to get rid of all her clothes, bags, and shoes.
Unlike Mirabelle, Diana was having a good mood these few days. Other than working, all she did was accompanying Brooklyn in the afternoon and studied her perfume recipe when she was at home. It was a delightful time.
“It was almost the time Mirabelle received the evaluation reports,” Diana thought.
Diana believed in the saying of an eye for an eye.
Diana then wrote a letter and sent it to Brooklyn’s house after estimating the time of arrival.
The address of the sender was in the Powell Group, and the letter was from Anna.
Brooklyn drove home this day, and when he stepped into the house, the caretaker presented him a letter from Diana.
“What is this?” Brooklyn took a glance at the letter instead of taking it from the caretaker.
The caretaker explained, “Mr. Powell, this letter was for Ms. Moss, but it was from the Powell Group…” the caretaker hesitated.
