“Mr. Zimmer, can we meet? I’d like to talk to you,” Simone said.

“Let’s meet at York Hotel, then.” The voice sounded enigmatic.

But Simone did not want to delay the meeting. She immediately drove to York Hotel.

Once they got there, both Simone and Dustin took the elevator and hurried to the room Jack Zimmer had mentioned.

In the room was a young man sitting on a couch. Beside him stood two bodyguards, and the table in front of him was covered in food.

While they were on their way to the hotel, Simone had told Dustin about Jack. He was the heir to the Zimmer family, a powerful family in Rivenesco, and he was also handed the huge responsibility of running his family’s business at a very young age. Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

He was also the one who acted as a liaison between his company and Simone’s when it came to the supply of materials.

When he saw Simone walk in, Jack smiled, but when he saw Dustin with her, his face darkened a little.

“Sorry for making you wait, Mr. Zimmer,” said Simone apologetically.

Jack stared at Dustin with a scowl.

“Who is he?” he asked.

“He’s… my assistant,” said Simone after a moment’s hesitation.

“Send him out. I want to talk to you alone.” Jack dismissed him with an impatient wave.

“Mr. Zimmer, I trust him. There won’t be any issues,” said Simone hurriedly.

Jack’s scowl deepened, but a moment later, he smirked. “Then, let him watch.”

“Mr. Zimmer, we’ve already signed a contract about the supplies. Why did you suddenly terminate the contract? Did we do something wrong?” Simone asked tentatively.

“You did everything right.” Jack chuckled. “The reason is simple: we just decided not to work with you anymore.”

Simone’s face froze.

“Mr. Zimmer, are you dissatisfied with the conditions we agreed on? We can talk about it.”

Jack scanned Simone from head to toe. He made no attempt to hide his predatory gaze.

“I don’t mind working with your company. I can even lower the price,” he said enigmatically.

“What are your conditions?” Simone asked.

“It’s simple.” Jack’s gaze fixed on her figure. “Spend a night with me.”

Simone froze, and Dustin’s face turned cold.

“Simone, I have orders from my father that we are not to have any business dealings with your family

anymore.

“If I provide the materials to you, I’d be taking a huge risk. Spending one night with me is a very generous offer. Don’t be so ungrateful!” Jack said coldly.

Simone was silent.

She would never agree to Jack’s request, but she could not delay the date for the deliveries.

“Take a good look in the mirror. You’re unworthy of putting your hands on Simone,” Dustin said mockingly.

“What did you just say?” Jack’s face darkened as he glared at Dustin. “You’re just an assistant, and you dare say such things to me?” He sneered. “Simone, is he stepping out of line, or is this you being insolent?”

Simone felt anxious. “He isn’t doing it on purpose, Mr. Zimmer. Please calm down. I’ll make it up to you.”

Then, she whispered to Dustin, “Dustin, we can’t afford to get on his bad side. Don’t provoke him.”

“You want to make it up to me? Hmph! Fine! Then, let my bodyguards slap him!” Jack said icily.
