Oops, I’ve Been Exposed

Chapter 47 by Lorelei Thunder

It was only then that Pamela nodded in acceptance. As she sat down, she wondered if she was dreaming. She felt nervous, but she also felt extremely lucky.

“Amazing! Victory is definitely within grasp!” Miriam was overjoyed. Even if it was just a matter of their seating, the Cartwrights valued Pamela so much. Pamela’s attempt to be their gold-tier partner was a sure win.

Kurt boldly sat next to Pamela. He didn’t even bother to hide his close relationship with her. Jessie went back to the office, about to take credit for her work when she saw Helen’s foul expression.

Helen said, “Look into Pamela right away and figure out her relationship with Kurt.”

“U-Understood!” Jessie hastily replied. Then, she turned around and started making some calls.

A moment later, Jessie returned to the office looking conflicted. “I found something. The Yorks have been sucking up to the Donnels in the past few years, and they wanted Pamela to get together with Kurt. I heard that they will be announcing their relationship soon.”NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.

“How dare she!” Helen gritted her teeth as a cold look appeared on her face.

Over the past three years, to repay Woody’s kindness for saving Mason, the Cartwrights had taken care of the Yorks and Pamela unconditionally. But now, Pamela had betrayed Woody! It was unforgivable!

Jessie hastily continued, “Pamela and Mr. Henderson are divorced now, and Pamela was the one who suggested it…”

“When did that happen?” Widening her eyes, Helen’s face creased.

Helen thought that Pamela was extremely blessed to be able to marry Woody. Many women could only dream of marrying such a wonderful husband. Anyone who got married to Woody would be in extreme bliss. There must have been something wrong with Pamela for her to divorce Woody!

“Two days ago!” Jessie reluctantly said.

Helen slowly curved her lips into a smile. “I remember now. The mother and son who caused a ruckus in the hotel must have been her mother and brother.

“Oh, Pamela, people know you as the most beautiful president in Tiusto. They say that you’re smart and have great insight. But now, I can only say that you’re blind.”

Jessie pointed behind her and said, ” Look, Ms. Helen. Clement is leading Mr. Henderson to his seat.”

“Oh, no!” Helen immediately panicked. She had arranged for Pamela to sit there as she thought she would be doing Woody a favor. But now, she realized that she had really messed up.

There would always be huge conflicts between a couple who had recently divorced, and Pamela had even attended this event with the person she was rumored to be dating.

What would Woody think when he saw them? Would he show off? Or would he declare war? If Woody got mad and left without hesitation, or if he refused to complete the last bout of treatment for Mason, Helen didn’t know who to turn to.

But it was too late for her to stop this. What was she supposed to do? She was now in serious trouble because of Pamela! Helen panicked.

“It’s the golden chair over there. I won’t accompany you there, though. My reputation isn’t stellar, and I worry that I might scare the other guests,” Clement said with an awkward smile.

Woody nodded and walked over to his seat.

“Woody, you shameless scammer! Why are you here?” Kurt leaped to his feet and pointed at Woody when he approached, shouting at the top of his lungs. “Don’t think that you can flaunt yourself without care just because you tricked the Cartwrights. I’ll expose you right now.

“Everyone, look here! This man is a reformed prisoner who was just released from prison, and he’s a total scammer!”

Everyone turned to look at them.
