Serenity and Zachary York

Chapter 3390

Sugar was not willing to reveal even just her real name, so Serenity and company did not even ask where she was from. When they heard Audrey reminding Patrick not to rush down the stairs, everybody stopped chatting to look toward them.

A few young ones went over to help Patrick descend, but he laughed and waved them off. “I'm alright. I'm not so weak that I need support just to walk."

They all seemed to be Tiara's offspring. Patrick felt gratified. He thought Tiara's whole family was dead but fortunately, he had found the two sisters, who both also had children of their own. Tiara's lineage had not died out.

Sonny had never met Patrick and hurriedly retreated into Serenity's arms when he saw the old man. Serenity said softly, "Sonny, this is your great- granduncle I told you about."

Sonny stayed silent as he watched Patrick with his bright, sparkling eyes. Patrick sat down and greeted Grandma May and the rest.

She asked in concern, "Are you alright, Old Pat? You don't look too well. Doc, you have to help him put his health back to rights."

Doc answered, "He doesn't look good because he got here really early this morning and didn't sleep well last night. Don't worry, both me and my disciple are watching over him. He'll be fine."

In the short term, anyway.

Patrick laughed. "I'm really fine. I'm almost a hundred years old and can withstand the stress of traveling long distances. Do you think a normal person would still be this energetic, physically and mentally?"

He had been practicing self-defense ever since he was young and had a good foundation. Plus he had Doc's help to keep him in good health for the past few decades.

Although there were lasting side effects from his initial injuries, he could bear it. He would not collapse before he found Missy Drey. To be honest, he too had been afraid he' would not be able to hold out Luckily, God pitied him and allowed him to reunite with her.

Grandma May laughed in an easygoing manner. "That's true. You're in such good condition that I'm almost envious. Doc, you'll have to give me a check-up later too, and let me know what supplements I have to take.”

"Do you even need them? You're in your eighties but still travel by plane often, searching everywhere for bride candidates for your grandsons. You're so healthy you don't need any supplements. Don't waste my expensive stuff.

"If the time comes when you really need them, I'll surely give you whatever I can. You don't even have to say a word, provided I outlive you." Doc felt that even he might not outlive Grandma May.

She simply was the healthiest old lady he had ever seen. They

belonged to the same generation. Even though he was a doctor, he sometimes got overwhelmed and felt like he was no longer up to it after he grew old, and that it was time for him to simply kick back and relax.

However, Grandma May was still able to travel all over by plane and select bride candidates for her unmarried grandsons.

"You should stop flying all over looking for granddaughters-in-law too. All the better girls have been taken by you. Your grandsons aren't the only ones in the world, I'll have you know. Tons of other people have grandsons too, so you should leave some good girls for them." Doc grumbled about Grandma May's greed in gathering all the good girls and getting them to marry into the York family.

With such an old madam steering the Yorks, they could probably monopolize the spot of Wiltspoon's richest family for a few more generations yet. Everything she planned was for the sake of the Yorks' future.

Grandma May laughed. "What choice do I have? I raised nine outstanding blockheads who don't know how to put themselves out there. Wouldn't it be a waste of the decades of effort I put in if I didn't market them?"
