She Prince

Chapter 44

Wanke’s absence made Feng Lei worry like hell, his eyes never left the entrance of the classroom during the exam expecting to see WanKe appear. In the morning before the exam Feng Lei visited the Wen kingdom mansion but the guards did not let him in, they told him that WanKe is feeling sick and taking rest. He never believed their words as being sick won’t be an excuse for him to skip the exam because he has been living for this specific day.

Feng Lei walks out of the classroom when the exam is over his mind captured in the thought of WanKe. He has not been practicing for the next day’s physical tests as his heart and mind is not with him.

“Why isn’t WanKe back?,” HenYu matches FengLei’s steps walking beside him in the school yard “It’s almost two days and he is not back yet, I’m afraid,” the last two words comes out in a low voice worried.

“I looked for him in the mansion,”

“And then, was he there?,”

“I was not even let in, the guards by the main gate told that he is sick,”

“Sick?,”

“I don’t think it’s true,”

“He was fine yesterday morning,”

“I know, even masters are worried about him as he didn’t attend the exam,”

“Master Huang asked me in the morning too, he told that it’s a pity that KeKe missed the exam,”

“Something is wrong,”

“What do you mean?,”

“I just have a feeling that he is in the mansion,”

“Why would the guards lie about the Prince in the kingdom?,”

“I….,”

“I was looking for you all,” ChengLi runs to them bending low he pants “Is WanKe back?,” he looks up at them standing straight, gulping down he continues as he got the answer by their expressions “Ah Xiang told me that XuXu has been following a man a few days before the incident,” putting his hand inside his pocket he pulls out a light blue handkerchief and hands it over to FengLei “Xian told that XuXu stitched this for WanKe as a gift before the exam and…..,”

FengLie’s thumb runs over the embroidery design on the folded piece of cloth, his heart clenches when he sees the embroidery where a cute boy and a girl’s face are next to each other the sentence “You are the best brother,” embroidered above the image, unfolding the neatly folded material he steps behind when something falls down.

“Sis Cheng asked about WanKe, she told that his mother’s funeral is held today,”

“His mother?,” HenYu repeats in astonishment.

FengLei picks up the tiny piece of paper which fell, furrowing his eyebrows he unfolds the paper “Something is not right,” he blurts and gets up immediately rushing out the gate where HenYu and ChengLi follows him.

WanKe lifts up his heavy eyelids letting out a dry groan, he moves his body to a comfortable position letting out a low scream when the pain on his chest shoots up electrifying his nerves. He lets out a sigh internally knowing that his right hand is tied to the pole beside the bed and his left hand is numb. He did not panic or frighten in the place as all he had in his mind is about his mother. Gulping down the saliva to moisten his throat he opens his eyes fully taking a picture of his surrounding realising it’s his room.

Biting his lower lip he moves up in a sitting position leaning over the wall at the side of the bed, he flinches when the wooden door is slammed open.

“Where is mother?,” He roars when Lord Wen walks to the bed, sitting on the edge of the bed he faces WanKe his lips spreads to a sly smile.

“How can you scream when you’re weak,” Clapping his hands he gets up abruptly “You all made a mistake,” he states staring at WanKe who is watching him with rage and curiosity.

Turning around he walks to the table at the corner of the room “First your father,” he bends low lifting the kettle he pours the water to the cup “And then your mother,” he stands up with the cup of warm water “And now it’s you,” taking a sip of the water he walks towards the bed and crawls over it,

“You must be thirsty,” moving close to WanKe he moves the cup up to his mouth the surface touching his dry lips. He moves his face closer his eyes looking straight into his weak ones ” I feel sad for you because,” Lord Wen’s venomous eyes observes his weary ones a grin sweeps through his lips “You couldn’t attend your mother’s funeral.”

WanKe takes the cup from Lord Wen’s hand which is held close to his mouth with his left hand which doesn’t have the strength to hold on it, he hits it on Lord Wen’s forehead in a split second taking him off guard, moving a little forward he runs his weak hand on the back of his head and pushes his head to the wall making him to let out a groan when hot red liquid flows down his face.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“You brat,” Lord Wen yells clutching on WanKe’s collar he pulls him up making the chain dig into his wrist, moving his face close with an inch distance he roars “It’s a pity that no man could see,” a smirk appears on his face his orbs staring down at WanKe whose eyes never showed a sense of fear “A pretty girl like you,” he pushes WanKe to the bed making him wince in pain, moving forward he crawls over him placing his palm over the cut skin he gives pressure on it “I’ll let you suffer for what you did,” he growls touching the sash of Wanke’s dress to undress the right lapel.

WanKe covers his face with his left palm pushing his face behind bearing the overwhelming pain caused over the wound, his already drained energy goes empty. A scream escapes his lips when he feels the expansion of his skin, hot blood begins to drench his already dry stained clothes.

“Don’t do this,” his voice comes out as a mere whisper when he realises his dress loosen as he feels Lord Wen’s finger touch his skin. Squeezing his eyes shut he takes a deep breath praying god to take his life before something happens as he couldn’t fight back when his head began to feel heavy and his body was not in his control making him to pass out.
