Chapter 33. Triplets‘ Revenge

Briana POV

I left Noah in the middle of the lobby with his mouth hanging open and felt great satisfaction at my handiw

It was not always that I got to leave him stupefied in an argument, and it gave me immense pleasure to know that today, I did just that. I left Noah Hunter speechless!

I believe I deserve a mental pat on the back,

There was a skip to my step when I walked out of the building and into my brother’s waiting black SUV,

When I opened the door, three tornadoes slipped past me to jump out of the car. They were wily that my attempt to pull them back was futile.

I watched in amazement as they ran inside the building, shouting at the top of their lungs!

“You are dead meat!” I heard Brixx warned, much to my consternation.

The sounds their little feet made echoed through the lobby, attracting people’s attention.

The triplets ignored the open–mouthed stares they received and went straight to their target – Noah Hunter!

The triplets ran toward Noah,

When they got near him, they kicked on his legs and shins.

“Uhm! No one picks a fight with our mommy without getting a payback!” It was filey. He was the first to throw Noah a kick.

Noah grunted and bent forward to rub his palms over his injured leg

His shocked eyes took in the kids attang him.

“Stop it, children. I am not quarreling with your mommy.” Noah said in his defense, which added to the fury on my boys‘ faces.

“Liar!” Riley spat out before attacking Noah again. This time, he stomped on his father’s feet.

Brixx and Mason did the same. They were either kicking or punching Noah.

I was stunned to witness my children’s aggressive behavior as they ganged up on their father.

Marcus, on the other hand, was doubled over on my side as he

watched the commotion in amusement.

Noah looked dazed while the triplets beat him up.

“You are so dead!” Brixx warned once more.

“Riley, Brixx, Mason, stop it!” I warned in a stern voice, my eyes

narrowed into slits.

At once, the triplets‘ bodies froze. They recognized that tone of voice. I only used it when they ran my patience thin.

The triplets turned their heads simultaneously in my direction, looking guilty, as they watched me march over.

Marcus, taking his cue from me, ran toward the three. He scooped

them up in his arms protectively to avoid my ire and ran toward the car to deposit the kids.

I followed after them in angry strides, but my eyes widened when Riley raised his hand and showed Noah the middle finger.

I was so stunned.

The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end. I was so horrified.

Where did the kids learn that? NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.

Amused laughter surrounded us.

Noah on the other hand, looked like he did not know what happened and was standing morosely at the center of the large lobby.

He was looking at my children with a goofy smile on his face.

I approached him to apologize for my children’s behavior.

“Sorry about my children. They can be rambunctious at times.” I apologized and quickly turned back to follow them out.

Before I could take a step away, Noah’s hand clamped on my arm, stopping me.

“How old are your kids?” He asked with a frown.

I could see the wheels on his head turning, and something in his expression alarmed me.

Nervously, I licked my lips. “They are three,” I responded, evading looking at Noah’s eyes while I lied through my teeth.

My children will be five in a few months. But I don’t want Noah to put two and two together and make the connection. He has to

remain unaware that the triplets were his.

Not until I know it’s safe.

I do not want to jeopardize my children. Wh. if Noah does not want them?

I couldn’t break their little hearts.

Riley, Mason, and Brixx are too precious!

Even if their father does not want them, they have four stand–in fathers in my brothers. Charles, Rowan, Marcus, and Flint loved my children as if they were their own.

They don’t need Noah Hunter if he is only going to reject them.

“Are they my children?” My gaze flew to Noah’s, shock registering on my face.

I shook my head. “No. They are mine.”

It’s true. The children are mine, to begin with.
