Adrian saw his wife get into the passenger seat of Corey’s car when he stepped out of the company’s hall at 5:30 pm before the car drove off.
He stopped in his tracks and watched the car disappear into the distance. His gaze darkened with displeasure.
Kenneth opened the door of the Lamborghini not far away and caught sight of the scene that had just unfolded.
Adrian withdrew his gaze and walked toward the car with his hands in his pockets. He remained silent after getting in the car and exuded an air of coldness with a darkened expression.
Kenneth glanced at him several times through the rearview mirror as he drove. He noticed that his handsome face tightened with seriousness and his expression grew intense as if he was about to say something.
Therefore, Kenneth took the initiative to ask him without hurting his pride, “Sir, should we follow them?”
“Yes,” Adrian replied quickly before feeling a sense of awkwardness.
Kenneth pressed down on the accelerator and skillfully trailed Corey’s car by keeping a car between them to ensure they wouldn’t be noticed.
The car came to a stop ten minutes later. Adrian came to his senses and was suddenly unsure why he had followed them in the first place.
He saw Farrah walking into an upscale restaurant with Corey just as he glanced to the side.
Was it a dinner date?
The two walked side by side, chatting and laughing like a couple. Adrian felt unsettled at the sight of that even though he knew there was likely nothing between them.
He didn’t get out of the car. Instead, he checked the time on his watch and said to Kenneth, “Let’s go home.”
“Okay, sir.” Kenneth started the engine again. He couldn’t help but feel worried for Farrah. The CEO was keeping track of the time. That could spell trouble.
She could be in huge trouble if she came home even slightly late.
Adrian turned to look out the window and couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him. He was in a foul mood. The picture of last night occasionally flashed in his mind.
But why did he feel upset?
He didn’t love her anyway!
He felt irritated and was overwhelmed by inexplicable emotions. It had to be just a man’s possessiveness. After all, she was his wife on paper.
There was no way he would ever fall for her!
Farrah and Corey walked out of the restaurant about an hour later. The sunset was especially stunning and cast a warm glow on her face. Corey couldn’t help but momentarily lose himself at the sight of her.
“Shall I give you a ride home?”
“No, that’s fine. I’ve got other things to attend to.” Farrah waved at him. “Bye, I’ll see you around!” With

that, she quickly turned around and left.
There was a hint of tenderness in his smile and a sparkle in his eyes as he watched her retreating figure.
Farrah was heading to Fairytale Cottage. It was her shop after all. She had to check in whenever she had the time and couldn’t neglect it entirely.
Meanwhile, Germaine had just finished her work. She was driving along the riverside as the navigation system announced that the destination was nearby.
She glanced out the car window at the row of shops and searched for Fairytale Cottage.
Finally, she spotted the place.
She parked the car and walked through the glass door. Sandra was the only one inside. “Hi, welcome to Fairytale Cottage. We aim to bring joy to your daily lives by offering you a bite of sweetness every day. How can I help you?”
Germaine appeared slightly aloof compared to Sandra’s bright smile and welcoming demeanor.
She didn’t respond to her. Her heels clicked as she glanced around the modestly decorated shop. How could such a simple place like this have produced desserts that impressed Mark? It had truly surprised her.
Sandra was making desserts behind the counter while keeping an eye on her. She found her to be quite beautiful with delicate makeup. However, there was a sense of aloofness about her.
“Hi, who makes Sweet Sun here?” Germaine got straight to the point. “I’d like to have her make one for me tomorrow.”
*I’m sorry, it’s discontinued,” Sandra replied with a smile. “The pastry chef no longer works here.”
Germaine was slightly taken aback but was not entirely surprised. “Would it be possible to give me her number?”
Sandra shook her head. “I’m sorry, I can’t.”
“Why?” Germaine couldn’t understand.
However, Sandra met her gaze with confusion. “What do you mean why? My friend doesn’t make desserts anymore. She’s moved on to a different career. She has to go to work every day and is very busy with her new job.”
Farrah walked That the moment. She spotted Germaine at the counter and had also overheard Sandra’s response.
“How about this? You name a price, and I’ll pay you,” Germaine said in a businesslike tone. Just give me her number, and I’ll take care of everything else.”
