Chapter 14 Splashed with Sulfuric Acid
The Stevens Group?
Allison rolled her eyes. No wonder Sophia was so jittery; she had found herself a sugar daddy. But Sophia was just dreaming if she thought she could give Allison a hard time by relying on him.
Allison smirked, giving Everett the once-over. He even struck a pose, probably trying to look all suave.
"Your eyes are all over the place, and your face looks like you haven't slept in days. Mr. Stevens, you might want to take better care of yourself. Too much partying can mess up your kidneys. And honestly, with that face, you might not have long to live. If I were you, I'd hit up a doctor." Allison sneered and brushed past Everett, heading for the school gate.
Everett clenched his teeth in anger. Kidney problems and a short life? He was definitely going to get back at her!
Allison walked straight into the school, not noticing someone under a tree near the gate, snapping a photo of her and Everett.
Yasmin watched Allison's back with a satisfied grin. If she wasn't mistaken, the guy with Allison at the gate was Everett, Sophia's boyfriend. He was from the Stevens Family, a well-known playboy in Skycrest.
Getting mixed up with a guy like that would definitely trash Allison's reputation. And since Everett was Sophia's boyfriend, Allison was in for a rough time at school. So, after getting to school, Yasmin called Sophia over. "Yasmin, what's up?" Sophia asked.
"Sophia, how are things with you and Everett?" Yasmin probed.
Sophia blushed and looked at Yasmin shyly, saying, "We were together last night, Yasmin. We both drank too much and didn't use any protection. Do you think I might be pregnant?"
Yasmin felt disgusted inside but kept a smile on her face. "Congrats! Mr. Stevens is from the Stevens Family. With him as your boyfriend, the Brown Family's business will definitely boom!"
Sophia nodded, a sweet smile in her eyes.
Yasmin lowered her head, a hint of malice flashing in her eyes, and then pulled out her phone.
She said, "Sophia, I actually called you for something else. When I got to school earlier, I saw Mr. Stevens with a girl. They were laughing and talking. I thought it was you, but it turned out to be..."
Yasmin showed Sophia the photo on her phone, and Sophia's face twisted with rage as she shouted, "Allison, that bitch!"
Sophia had felt something was off when she saw Everett eyeing Allison at the supermarket yesterday. If it weren't for that, she wouldn't have hooked up with him last night.novelbin
She didn't expect Allison to flirt with her boyfriend first thing in the morning. Sophia was so mad she almost smashed her phone.
"Sophia, maybe I misunderstood. Even though Allison messed up before, she promised her family she had changed. So..." Yasmin feigned sincerity.
Sophia yelled, "So what? It's right there in the photo! Do you still believe she's changed? Yasmin, you're always defending her. Does she appreciate it? You're too nice, and that's why this bitch keeps fooling you! Don't worry, I'll teach her a lesson this time and show her what happens when she messes with my man!" Watching Sophia storm off, Yasmin's lips curled into a smile. What an idiot!
But with such an idiot charging ahead, Yasmin didn't need to lift a finger. Allison wouldn't be able to stay in school. As long as Allison was miserable, Yasmin would be happy.
After morning classes, Mia led Allison to the school cafeteria. Mia now treated Allison like family, sharing tips on which cafeteria window had the best food and which staff gave the most generous portions. With Mia around, Allison's campus life was way more interesting than before.
"Allison, let's hit the supermarket for some snacks," Mia said, her eyes lighting up at the thought.

"But Mia, we just had lunch!" Allison replied, a bit exasperated.
Mia had zero resistance to food, while Allison wasn't much of a snacker.
"So what? Come on, please!" Mia pleaded, putting on her best puppy-dog eyes. Allison couldn't help but give in.
As they strolled down the campus path, a group of people blocked their way before they could reach the supermarket. "Allison, stop right there!"
Seeing Sophia in front of her, Allison frowned. What was up with today? She kept bumping into annoying people.
Mia stepped up. "Sophia, what do you want now? Leave Allison alone."
Sophia rolled her eyes at Mia and shoved her hard. Mia almost fell, but Allison grabbed her collar just in time.
"Allison, you bitch! How dare you flirt with my boyfriend? I'm gonna teach you a lesson today!" Sophia yelled.
Mia was confused by Sophia's outburst but quickly caught on.
"Give me a break. Your boyfriend? You think Allison would flirt with him? Dream on!" Mia didn't even need to ask Allison; she trusted her completely. This made Allison, standing behind Mia, feel a mix of emotions. Allison glared at Sophia. "Sophia, I don't know where you got the idea that I'd flirt with your boyfriend. But let me make it clear, a guy like that isn't even fit to tie my shoes!"
Sophia sneered, her eyes filled with venom as she looked at Allison. "You act all high and mighty, but behind the scenes, you're chasing after Everett. Allison, I've said it before, you're a shameless slut. You were sleeping with men and getting abortions at thirteen! Everyone in the Skycrest elite knows it. You must think you have no chance of marrying into a wealthy family, so you go after Everett. You're just a whore!"
Allison's face turned icy. Seeing Sophia charging at her, Allison didn't move. Just as she was about to react, Mia suddenly rushed over, pushed Sophia away, and slapped her hard.
Everyone went silent. No one expected Mia to hit someone. "Sophia, I won't let you talk about Allison like that. Allison is way better than you. At least she doesn't throw herself at men! Don't think I don't know. Everyone in class knows you've slept with Everett. If anyone's shameless, it's you. Allison isn't like that!"
Allison was stunned. Besides Hayden, Mia was the first person to stand up for her. Mia's defense and honesty warmed Allison's heart.
Sophia wasn't backing down. She glared at Allison, got up from the ground, grabbed a water bottle from somewhere, opened the cap, and splashed it towards Allison and Mia.
Allison's sense of smell was sharp. As soon as the cap was opened, she smelled it-sulfuric acid.
Seeing the acid about to hit Mia, Allison quickly shielded her, and then there was a sizzling sound, followed by the smell of something burning.
Mia was stunned. When she came to her senses, she saw Allison holding her left hand, frowning in pain. "Allison, what's wrong? What is this?"
"It's sulfuric acid! Oh my God, the sulfuric acid hit Allison. Call a teacher! This is serious!"
A group of female students ran away in fear. Sophia looked at Allison and laughed triumphantly.
"Allison, you deserve this. Remember, if you dare flirt with my boyfriend again, I'll kill you!" Sophia ran off too, leaving Mia in tears.
Mia was at a loss. "Allison, what do we do?"
Allison gritted her teeth. "Call an ambulance!"
