The Cherished Wife

Chapter 709

As Ruby and Taylor entered, Ronald motioned for them to take a seat. Winter popped up from her chair. "Hello, Ms. Clark, Mr. Williams!"

Ruby arched an eyebrow, clearly taken aback by Winter's earnest greeting. She had not expected such a formal hello. Taylor, on the other hand, just nodded in acknowledgment. "Hello!"

"With everyone here, let's dive into Unchallenged Dominion!" Ronald clearly ran the show, guiding the conversation. He then stepped back, letting Ruby and Taylor take the floor.

Winter smiled stepping out of the meeting room, and Jane was equally thrilled. "Winter, it looks like you're not just avoiding getting trampled this time. You're actually on your way up. Who knew this situation would turn out to be a boost for you?"

Winter shot Jane a playful look, and Jane realized she might have said too much. "Heh, just thinking out loud. So, what's your next move?"

"I need to head back, but make sure you take care of yourself these next couple of days. We've got a commercial shoot coming up soon." Winter knew she could not miss that chance after such a promising start.

"Right, but before that, I'm taking you to see your nutritionist. And you haven't been looking after your skin well at home, have you?"

Jane examined Winter's face. "I'm not trying to nag, but for a woman, and especially for a star like you, your face is your fortune."

"Is it really that bad?" Winter felt her cheek, a hint of concern in her voice. "I really haven't been taking care of it. I just haven't felt like it." "Well, you're going to feel like it now. Let's get going!"

Two days later, somehow, word got out that Winter was shooting a commercial for Saint Di. By the time she got to the set, it was swarming with reporters and fans.

Winter was stuck outside, unable to get through the crowd. It was not until the building's security stepped in that she finally entered.

Saint Di was a big deal in Brookville,

after a fierce competition, they chose Winter. The public was eating up every detail with the recent buzz about her and Charles.

However, Winter was not sweating the gossip. She figured if Charles was not bothered by it, why should she be? This was her chance to shine, to get her face out there and boost her fame.

The guy calling the shots at the photoshoot was none other than Pethorn, the hotshot photographer from Faris. He was top-notch in the biz, and for Winter, snagging a gig with him was like hitting the jackpot. She was psyched to work with a legend like him.

"Hi, Mr. Pethorn. I'm Winter." Fresh out of makeup, Winter stepped out and caught Pethorn tweaking his camera in the hallway.

Pethorn glanced up, caught sight of Winter, and nodded politely. It was his version of a warm welcome, and he did not make small talk.novelbin

"Winter, get in here." Suzy, spotting Winter's awkward moment, tugged her inside. 'Rethorn's not big on chit chat when he's in the zone. That nod is him practically rolling out the red carpet. Don't sweat it. Here, drink some water and get your energy up. We've got a long day ahead.

Suzy passed the water bottle to Winter, but Pethorn strode in, his Brookville translator in tow. "Showtime, folks! Let's get moving!"
