The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 198

Matthew hurriedly explained, "I'm feeling a little unwell, sir. I heard from others that Nelson Zapier has some skills, so I came all the way to ask him to check on me."

The old man, Neil Oldman, looked at him coldly and snapped, "You're another bastard who's here under the pretense of seeing a doctor. It's precisely because of people like you that Nelson was tricked and taken away! Fuck off, you shameless asshole!" Matthew smiled at him. "Calm down, sir. You have high blood pressure, and I think it's at least 150 now. You might just pass out if you keep shouting at me."

The old man tensed and glared at him. "H- How did you know that?"

Matthew's smile widened. "I can tell from your skin that you've consumed a lot of celery. It can help to lower your blood pressure, but taking too much of it isn't good for you either.

"You should switch to celery seeds. Grind them into powder and make them into a drink that you can take daily. It's much more effective at lowering blood pressure than celery is, but the texture is horrible."

Neil's murky eyes were filled with surprise. "How did you... You said the same thing that Nelson did! He told me to switch to celery seeds after a while but didn't tell me how to take them before he disappeared. W- Who are you?" Matthew came clean. "I'm from the same sect as him. I came to look into the matter after hearing that something had happened to him."

Neil flung his cigarette away and grabbed Matthew's hands agitatedly. "That means you're here to avenge him, right? That's great! I was so mad when a great doctor like him was murdered!"

Matthew's heart sank. Nelson really was dead. "How did it happen?"

Neil wiped his tears and said, "A decade ago, someone came to Nelson and asked him to treat his paralyzed father. Nelson never came back after leaving with the guy. We called the cops, but they couldn't find anything.

"You have no idea what a great guy Nelson was. He never asked any patients for money as long as they didn't take any herbs or medication from him.

"I suspect someone secretly killed him because they were jealous of him. You have to get to the bottom of this and avenge him!"

Matthew frowned. His first suspect was Red Wolves. Perhaps they'd long since shipped Nelson out of the country.

He wouldn't be able to save Nelson then even if he wanted to. This also meant it would be that much harder for him to track down Codex Chillwind and the Healer's Satchel.

After some thought, he asked, "Could you take me to his house?"

Neil nodded. "Of course. Come with me! Nelson actually has a son, but he's no match for this father.

"Despite learning everything Nelson

had to teach, he just can't treat people like Nelson did. There might not be anyone to inherit Nelson's

abilities, but his son hasn't sworn off

traditional medicine.

"He and his family are growing some herbs now. Half an hour ago, someone even came to pick up the herbs. I heard they offered a high price."

Matthew chatted with him and gained a simple understanding of Nelson's family. He had a son named Harold Zapier and a grandson named Mason Zapier.

Mason was a teenager who loved reading medical books. He clamored about wanting to become a doctor in the future.

Matthew and Nelson's home. As they stood outside, they heard people sobbing inside. Matthew immediately pushed the door open and saw a teenager lying on the ground. Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

Neil soon arrived at

Harold Zapier was trying to start a motorized tricycle. As he did so, he cried, "I'll take you to the hospital, Mason!"

Matthew hurried over to check on Mason. "I'm a doctor. There's no need to go to the hospital."

He felt Mason's pulse and quickly

diagnosed the problem. He had

abdominal pain due to blood

deficiency. "A dose of Snow

Eldernroot broth is enough to treat

this. Do you guys have Eldernroot at

home?"

ton

Mason clutched his stomach, his face twisting in pain. He suppressed it and said, "Yes, we do. Do we also need asphode grass, red grains, calcium powder, and Radiantbloom?" Matthew was surprised. "Not bad, kiddo. You know your prescriptions. You missed out on the most important point though.

"The asphode grass needs to be freshly picked. If you don't use fresh asphode grass, you'll only be treating this one-off instance.

"You'll leave yourself with a chronic illness, and you'll only be in more pain whenever it acts up in the future. It'll eventually kill you!"

Harold panicked upon hearing that. "We just sold off the asphode grass that we planted. We have to catch up with the people who bought them!"

Matthew immediately carried Mason onto the motorized tricycle. "Hurry up then! It'll be too late if we don't go after them!"
