Chapter 342
The meeting place was chosen by Xanthe and it was a famous public market park in the old part of town, a place filled with childhood memories for many in Crescentville.
"Shakira, Mr. Lopez, over here," Xanthe shouted excitedly as she spotted them from afar, jumping and waving. Beside her was Sean, dressed in a teal tracksuit, wearing sunglasses and with one hand casually in his pocket, looking quite smug. Shakira approached with Walter and beamed. "How long have you been waiting?" "We just got here, they replied.
Seeing Walter all geared up, Sean, who was still bitter about the incident of sneaky hand-holding under the table, remarked sarcastically, "No need to wrap up so tightly in a small place like this. No one here would recognize the famous Mr. Lopez." Shakira cast a cautious glance at Sean. "I dressed him up. Do you have a problem with that, Mr. Reynolds?" Sean, who had been acting all confident before, suddenly became timid. "He looks great. It's all about having this kind of forward-thinking precaution."
Walter slightly squinted his eyes and gave Sean a profound look Noticing the tension among the three of them, Xanthe quickly stepped in to ease the mood. "The sun is really hot today. Let's get some drinks to cool off."
Xanthe had already planned everything and found a famous shaved ice place nearby in her phone notes. When the four of them arrived at the shop, Xanthe went to place the order. "I'll have the red bean shaved ice. What flavors do you all want?"
Sean glanced at the menu. "I'll take the cherry shaved ice." Shakira also chose. "I'll have the mung bean shaved ice. Walter who had been quiet suddenly said, "You can't eat mung bean. Choose something else." As Shakira was about to say something, Sean spoke up on her behalf, "She can't even decide what to eat, huh? Mr. Lopez really calls the shots."
Shakira frowned and softly said, "Sean." "I'm not wrong. I can't stand people who act superior," Sean said passionately, full of justice.
Walter ignored the noisy Sean and typed a few words on his phone, showing them to Shakira. She glanced at them and quickly looked away, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Okay, I'll go with red bean flavor."
Sean's face turned red with a mix of emotions. "Why are you listening to him? Eat what you want. Is dating about being his puppet?"
Xanthe was initially puzzled but after observing Shakira's reaction, she somewhat guessed the reason and didn't want to watch anymore. "You silly, just talk less." Sean was about to cause a scene, but Xanthe grabbed his ear and twisted it.
As he grimaced in pain and jumped around, she whispered in his ear, "Mr. Lopez is probably suggesting that Shakira's period is coming, so she shouldn't consume too much cold stuff. Mung beans are cooling and with the ice she's eating, she'll feel uncomfortable later." After saying that, she tossed Sean aside with a disdainful look. "If I had known you left your brain at home, I wouldn't have brought you out."
Sean, holding his ear, finally realized what was going on a bit late. As a single guy, he was not supposed to know about things like this.
Walter shot Sean a cold glance and said to Xanthe, "I want the mung bean flavor." He then turned to Shakira, who looked surprised, and said, "Have a taste, but just one bite."
Shakira's eyes widened in disbelief, and then happiness overflowed from her every fiber, including her hair. "Okay."
Sean, who was still single, clicked his tongue in frustration. What a crafty guy! Shakira was totally under his spell. Eating some ice could make her this happy. 17:32 Wed, Dec
There were not only show ice smoothies, but also old-school snacks from Crescentville. The four of them strolled down the streets, snacking as they went. Xanthe would buy anything she thought good and handed them all off to Sean when her hands were fill. Naturally, Shakira was eating along with them, but everything she couldn't finish went straight into Walter's belly.
Sean, with his hands too full to be of any use, watched wistfully as Walter casually ate the leftovers Shakira couldn't finish. He envied Walter's free hands and inwardly mocked his skillful tactics, turning even a simple outing into a tiny romantic gesture.
The four walked in pairs, one pair ahead of the other, Although Walter dressed quite subtly, Shakira and the others were so striking that they naturally drew attention and gossip.
Eventually, people started taking sneaky photos of them from behind and posting them online, amazed at seeing such handsome guys and beautiful girls today.
"Are they two couples? They're so attractive. Their genes are so great."
"The girl pushing the wheelchair has such a small face and looks like a celebrity. She has delicate features. I wonder how handsome her boyfriend is. It is too bad he's covered up so much."
"Just by looking at his nose, you can tell he's really handsome. It's high and perfectly shaped; I bet he's good-looking from head to toe. Sadly, he's in a wheelchair."
"It's not just about their looks, check out their clothes. The one in blue is wearing high-end luxury. The girl is dressed as well. Look at the material of that wheelchair. It's like something out of this world, not cheap." "They must be some rich kids from the city coming out to experience regular life. So enviable."
As more people gathered around, wherever they went, crowds surrounded them like part of the scenery. Though nobody approached them, they blocked half the road, causing several cars to honk their horns. Shakira looked around and said, "How about we sit inside there? Following her gaze, Xanthe looked over and said, "Sands of Time? Looks like a craft store, let's check it out."Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
After the four of them entered the store, Sean immediately took out a black card and said, "I'll take the whole store. No one else is allowed in." The shopkeeper Lillian Walker, a young girl, was momentarily confused. Seeing the crowd outside, she quickly understood, hung up a "Closed" sign, and drew the curtains.
Xanthe was already pulling Shakira around the small shop. Her eyes landed on an adorable plate with a bear eating an apple painted on it. "Wow, so cheerful. Did you paint this, Lillian?"
Lillian shook her head with a smile, "An art school graduate made it as a birthday gift for his girlfriend. Our shop can handcraft any pottery pieces and make them perfect gifts with a personal touch for friends and family." Xanthe's eyes lit up as she pulled Shakira along. "Should we do it too? Let's make BFF milkshake cups." Shakira smiled and replied, "Sure."
Just as she finished speaking, she felt a chill on her neck. Without turning around, she added, "And let's make some cute couple items too."
Almost "eye assassinated" by someone, Xanthe quickly gave a thumbs up, saying, "That sounds like a plan." Sean wasn't really into this, but he didn't want to just watch, so he scratched his head and said, "I'll join in too, why not." The four of them decided to jump right in and get started. Each chose a craft they wanted to make and then went to the dressing room to put on aprons and wash their hands.
Shakira bent down and helped Walter put on an apron, wrapping her arms around to tie it at his back. His heavy breathing
was warm against her car, making Shakira shrink her neck. "It tickles," she said.

Big Devil's deep voice filled her ear with a touch of jealousy. "The first one you make has to be mine." Shakira covered her ears and couldn't help but laugh. "Why are you even jealous about this?" Walter replied earnestly, "Yeah, I'm jealous."
Shakira raised an eyebrow, suddenly winking mischievously and giving a cheeky grin. "But the first one might not be so good or look nice. Are you sure you want the first one, and not wait for the second when I'm better at it?"
