The unwanted wife’s unexpected comeback

Chapter 579

Chapter 579:

Corey’s expression darkened, and he strode out with purpose.

Not long after, Alicia caught wind of Yolanda’s probing question.

“What’s this about, Corey? Didn’t I help you fix the chip? In that case, why call Alicia? Are you trying to insult me?”

Corey’s tone was even, almost indifferent, as he replied, “You fixed the basic issues, yes.

But to fully restore it, only Alicia can do it.”

“Is everyone else suddenly incompetent? Why does it have to be her?”

“If you have what it takes, why don’t you take her place right now?”

As the daughter of a wealthy family, Yolanda held her fury in check, refusing to resort to curses.

Instead, she clenched her jaw and warned, “Corey, if you side with Alicia, you are going against the Moss family.

Think about your next move carefully.”

Instead of responding to her, Corey coldly commanded his subordinates, “Please escort Miss Moss to the door.”

Yolanda exclaimed, “Corey!”

The door swung shut, muffling her voice.

Alicia remained undeterred, her focus unwavering as she continued her work.

When Corey returned, Alicia said, “Please leave.

I don’t want to be disturbed.”

Corey paused for a moment, his gaze lingering on the chip before he turned and walked away.

Yolanda was still outside, standing calmly near the floor-to-ceiling window.

Corey handed her a bottle of water.

“If the chip issue isn’t resolved, I’ll be criticized severely.

Why would I want to offend those wealthy people?”novelbin

Yolanda took the bottle and doused Corey’s face with the cold water.

Her expression turned cold as she said, “But summoning Alicia here is a direct slap in the face to me!”

Corey gritted his teeth, wiping the droplets from his skin.

“Yolanda, do you really think I will tolerate you infinitely?” he said, his voice low but firm.

“Don’t forget what you once asked of me.

Do you not want it anymore?”

Yolanda scoffed.

“You’re not the only one who can make that happen.”

Corey’s lips curled into a sly smile.

“Sure, but I’m the only one who can handle it smoothly and efficiently.

If you drag someone else into this, you’ll be setting yourself up for a disaster.”

Her eyes narrowed as she glared at his smug face, anger bubbling just beneath the surface.

“As long as the job gets done, I’ll overlook your past mistakes, Corey.”
