Just then, the door of the operating room was pulled open from inside, and a nurse hurried out Sewing Bett she quickly ran up to him and asked. “Are you a relative of the patient? Brett’s ears buzzed, unable to hear anything clearly He frowned at the nurse in front of him and asked stiffly, “You say Izabella is dying? How is she dying?!”
It was just rain, some kneeling for half an hour, four days without food, and some blood vomit.
How could someone tell him that trabella was dying as soon as she entered?
The nurse looked at his dumbfounded lock, which suggested his obliviousness of how bad the physical condition that the person inside was in, so she briefly explained. “The patient has late– stage stomach cancer, and now her condition is critica! We need a family member to sign the surgery consent form and the notice of critical illness” The nurse looked at the man’s red eyes and suddenly didn’t know what to say
Stomach cancer? Late stage?
How was this possible tabella had never been sick before, and her body had always been in good shape How could she possibly have this disease? Why was it that someone was now telling him that she was about to die?
He must have heard it wrong It could only be a hallucination
Brett stumbled back a step Hitting the chair behind him, he swayed and woefully plunged down
He stared at his hands again, even though they had been wiped clean, he still felt like there was a lot of blood. Everywhere was filled with the smell of blood, which he couldn’t wash away
The patient’s condition could not be delayed. The nurse brought two agreements and handed them to Brett “Sir
Brett looked at the notice of critical illness in front of him with bloodshot eyes, a sharp pain spread from his heart to every corner of his body, making his fingers tremble with pain.
He took the pen and looked at the notice of critical illness. He knew every word but couldn’t understand them when they were put together
The nurse urged him, “Sit, please hurry up”
His hand trembling. Brett clenched his fist and punched the wall behind him, making a dull sound. The nurse was startled by the loud noise. She looked over and saw a bloodstain on the wall, knowing how much
force he had used
Brett took a deep breath, suppressed the pain in his heart, lowered his head, and signed his name.
“Will she be okay?”
The nurse shook her head. “The patient’s condition is very dangerous, and the hospital cannot guarantee her safety but we will do our best.”
Brett handed her the two forms and watched the nurse walk away He suddenly felt weak and leaned against the cold chair
It felt as if a piece of his heart had been dug out by a knife, an unprecedented emptiness urging him to grab the fabric and bend forward
He had never imagined such a scene would happen, with Izabella’s life hanging in the balance inside as doctors and nurses tried to save her, and he could do nothing
trabella had stayed by his side for four years, always an unimportant presence. He didn’t love her, he didn’t care about her feelings, and he certainly didn’t care about her life or death
But when he found out that trabella might never wake up again, he felt fear all over his body, as if something important was drifting away from him.
Brett looked dazed, his vision blurred. Rubbing his eyes, he finally realized that his eyes were wet.
He suddenly remembered six years ago, the first time he saw Izabella. She was wearing a red dress, her long hair reaching her waist, and her smile mesmerized everyone
She walked up to him with a donut in her hand, “Brett, long time no see” Her clear eyes were full of light
Since when did the light in her eyes go out?
Brett took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, pulled out one but hadn’t lit it yet when a passing cleaner pointed at a sign on the wall and reminded him, “Sir, no smoking in the hospital” He had no choice but to put it back, his trembling hand clenching the cigarette pack. Looking up at the operating room with red lights on, his heart twitched a few more times than before
The nurse went to get Presley, who arrived soon after Seeing Brett sitting outside the operating room, his expression changed, “Why are you here? Where’s Izabella? A bad feeling rose in his heart.
Brett looked up, his eyes somewhat hollow “She’s in there.”
So, the patient he was called to rescue was Izabella”
Presley’s face changed even more, and he rushed into the operating room without delay
Behind him, he heard Brett’s question, “Presley, did you know about Izabella’s late stage stomach cancer from the start?”
izabella and Presley had been close since childhood and had grown up together if Izabella was sick, Presley, as a doctor, couldn’t possibly be completely in the dark,
Presley didnt answer but as he closed the door, he glanced coldly at Brett. With just one glance. Brett felt his heart sinking
At that moment, he felt that he was not breathing art, but millions of steel needles, his heart was pierced, experiencing the so–called heart wrenching pain for the first time.
As the door of the operating room closed again, Brett’s vision went black, and he almost lost his footing. Clutching the fabric over his chest, he tasted a metallic blood in his mouth
Outside, the rain continued to patter and it seemed as if his blood had been frozen.
